The Autumn Tag

Autumn! Oh Autumn, how I do love you so!

Ok, so you guessed it, I LOVE all things Autumn, so you know as soon that clock ticks midnight on September 1st the Summer is dead and buried for me, and Autumn mode takes over in full force!

I mean what is not to love about Autumn?! First off, there’s the fact that our wardrobe changes to cosy, baggy jumpers, scarves and warm coats, if that’s not good enough in itself, it means we can eat a few extra calories and indulge in those little treats that we resist in the Summer months because nobody will ever know! Have I not totally sold you on Autumn with that alone?

Naturally, as soon as I became aware of the Autumn tag, I knew I would be creating my own. So here goes.

1. Ok we’re talking coffees – what’s your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?

I’m obsessed with coffee all year round, but my go-to Autumn coffees have to be the cinnamon or gingerbread latte from Costa and of course a good old PSL from Starbucks.

2. Accessories – what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?

All of them!! I am probably one of the coldest people you will ever come across, I love warmth so when it’s cold out you’ll see me in thick scarves, woolly mittens and cute little pompom hats! Ahhhhh.

3. Music – what’s your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?

Honestly, my taste in music isn’t really altered by this season, the only time it deviates from my usual varied array of music on my Spotify is when it’s socially acceptable to play Christmas songs none stop, which I’m thinking is pretty soon, right?

4. Perfume – what’s your favourite scent for this time of year?

I don’t have one particular favourite for the season, I do tend to steer away from anything fruity and floral I notice. If it reminds me of Summer I won’t be wearing it.

5. Candles – what scents will you be burning this season?

I am an absolute candle junkie!!! The amount of candles I actually own is quite ridiculous! Anything pumpkin spiced, cinnamon, apple, cranberry, or mulled you will find burning all Autumn and Winter, in every room of the house.

6. What do you love most about Autumn?

Ummm everything! The fresh crispness in the air, the leaves turning beautiful shades of burnt oranges and reds, before falling scattering on the grounds making them crunchy underfoot. Drinking delicious warming coffees and of course hot chocolate complete with whipped cream and marshmallows! Wearing cosy snuggly clothes. Burning candles round the clock, filling the house with the most amazing smells. Snuggling up for cosy movie nights. I love adding seasonal bits around the house, like pumpkins, and scattering leaves around (artificial of course).

7. Favourite makeup look?

Warm looks with browns, reds, oranges, coppers, gold and rose golds. I love berry and vampy burgundy colours on the lips.

8. What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?

Wrapping up warm and heading out for crisp walks with Jack and Charlie. Halloween, Bonfire night, and of course, CHRISTMAS following soon after. I love all of the little markets around this time of year too, and the shops filling their shelves with festive goodness and beautiful decorations!
