Is it really that time again?! Surely not, it feels like I’ve only just published my January favourites! Clearly this year is going to fly by in keeping with last. As we wave goodbye to February, we welcome March, and that to me means one thing, SPRING!! That and longer nights with the going forward of the clocks! Despite entering the third month of the year, I personally feel March is when I actually start to enjoy the year. January is just the biggest hangover ever after the festivities of December, and then February is like no mans land, sunny but freezing and those dark nights, willing Spring to arrive. Finally it is almost here, hallelujah! As are my favourites, here are some of what I’ve been loving throughout February.
La Mer GlossyBox
A little box of luxury!! Easily one of the things that excited me the most, mainly because I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of these very sought after boxes. I have always been intrigued by La Mer products but the price is quite horrifying and has always put me off, despite rave reviews. What better way to sample their range than with this fab little box full of goodness! I half hope I don’t love it, I fear if I do I might need to remortgage the house to allow for regular use of these products!
Aldi Lacura Renew Multi Intensive Q10 Serum
This very inexpensive product really packs a punch for its price. Its an anti-ageing serum packed with active ingredients that include Coenzyme 10, “Mimox” which is a bio peptide which is said to relax and reduce fine lines and “Aquarich”, which consists of moisturising ingredients such as black oats, Provitamin B5 and Macadamia nut oil. I feel that since using this my skin feels smoother and a little more plump and fresh. It has definitely made me want to try out more of the Lacura skincare range.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
I have really been loving this foundation, it is a very lightweight and light to medium coverage which is buildable. I found it to be long wearing even on my oily combination skin, it leaves my skin look fresh and radiant. This formula is packed full of a vitamin rich fruit therapy made using litchi, goji berries and pomegranates. I would definitely repurchase this once I reach the end of the bottle.
Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Polish
I’m a bit of nail polish junkie and I regularly buy new ones. The Barry M Coconut Infusion caught my eye mainly because of the coconut infusion part, that and they had some fab colours! They are infused with coconut water and oil which is designed to hydrate the nail while wearing it. The formula is amazing, the colour gilds on effortlessly and with a good coverage, I find it to be long wearing with a high shine. I bought three shades to begin with but I shall definitely be grabbing myself more colours.
Batiste XXL Volume Spray
I’m already a big fan and regular buyer of Batiste dry shampoo so when I saw a post about them now having a volumising spray in their collection I was quick to snap it up! It did not disappoint either, it does add a lot of body at my roots and throughout my hair. What I will say is that you definitely notice it in your hair, it isn’t a weightless unnoticeable product, but that doesn’t bother me.
When I was a little girl I owned probably every single Russ Troll there was and I absolutely loved them. I was so excited to find the cutest Troll pyjamas in Primark recently. They are definitely my favourite PJ’s!! I might even get a second pair, just because!
Pink Furry Slides
I quite liked the collaboration Rihanna did with Puma last year with the cute furry slides, but the price was slightly offensive for a pair of slides. Before becoming a home owner I would have bought them without a second though, but I couldn’t justify it now. Primark have made their own equivalent in both the pink shade I grabbed as well as black. I just wish the weather would warm up so I can wear them! I can see them becoming a summer staple.
Matalan Bedding / Cushions
Matalan always have a beautiful home department, as they begin to introduce their Spring colours I jumped at that chance of breathing some life and colour into our bedroom in the shape of some oversized pale pink velvet cushions and smaller white and silver print cushions. I love how cute our bed looks with these new additions. I picked up some new bedding also to match, it would have been rude not too!
Sainsbury’s are seriously killing it on the stationery front right now. It’s like a bloggers dream! I could have quite easily gone wild adding all sorts to the basket, but giving that I already own a vast collection of stationery I managed some restraint! I ended up with a gorgeous rose gold note-book, a weekly planner and some rose gold paper clips and bulldog clips which I will use never! They will make for good props though! I just couldn’t help myself!
