Superdrug Haul

I watched a program called Shop Well For Less recently, its pretty much as it says in the title, it shows us great products for less, now who doesn’t want a bit of this in their life?! I know I do! More pennies in my pocket and still get the desired effect from my products! Sign me right up!

In this specific show they took one ladies high end beauty products and switched them with a cheaper alternative in unbranded packaging. As it turns out she actually said she preferred the swap and felt it made more difference to her skin. It was revealed the products she had been given to use over her own products were actually from Superdrug’s Naturally Radiant skincare range. At a fraction of the cost of some high end products I did a little of my own research and discovered this range is really highly reviewed.

I was intrigued to find out for myself so I was straight to Superdrug to take a closer look for and I was pleasantly surprised to find their self branded skincare range was half off! BOUNS! I love me a bargain so I grabbed a few things, along with one none Superdrug branded item to try for myself.

I will list the items I bought below with a short description taken from the back of the packaging.

L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Purity Foam Wash

This is the only none Superdrug branded item I picked up, it was still on special offer and being a huge fan of their clay masks I knew I needed to try out the cleansers. I opted for the purity wash to begin with, the detox mask is my favourite mask but as a cleanser for everyday use I thought the purity clay wash might be best. It is a foaming wash which I love. I’m excited to try it and see if I will love this as much as I love the masks.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Pads

I’ve always been keen to try out Glycolic pads but for one reason or another I haven’t yet gotten around to it. This was the first thing I grabbed off the shelf to try! These pads are formulated with Glycolic acid, a powerful alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and a fruit acid which help to remove impurities from the skin and improve texture.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Day Cream

This product is formulated with a unique energising complex and infused with kiwi fruit and mulberry extracts to help even skintone and revive skins radiance. Enriched with nourishing sugar beet extract it provides all day moisturisation.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Renewing Night Cream

Likewise with the day cream, this is also formulated with the same energising complex, kiwi fruit, mulberry extracts, sugar beet extract and also skin renewing fruit acids. It offers long lasting deep moisturisation whilst helping to refine skins texture as you sleep.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel

Formulated with the same complex, kiwi fruit and mulberry extract as the other products mentioned, this is also infused with Glycolic acid and a fruit acid blend the gel formula refines and retextures the skin’s surface to reveal a bright more youthful appearance.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Eye Cream

This lightweight cream is made up with the extract same formula as the day and night creams, it aims to brighten and sooth the eye area, helping to reduce any signs of fatigue.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Radiance Balm

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Radiance Balm is formulated with a energising complex and infused with Kiwi Fruit and Mulberry extracts to help revive skin’s radiance and even out skin tone

Superdrug Optimum PhytoGlyc Age Serum

Formulated with “PhytoGlyc-Age” which combines encapsulated anti-glycation tetrapeptide “dGlyage” and plant derived skin detoxifying “Prodizia” with antioxidant vitamin E to effectively counteract and protect the skin from glycation and free radical damage throughout the day. This helps to improve skins firmness, elasticity and tone. This is the product I am most excited to try. I wrote the description from the back of the packaging, it all sounds very scientific to me so I’m hoping that this means its going to work wonders on my skin. Stay tuned.

Vitamin E Gentle Oatmeal Exfoliator

This exfoliator uses oatmeal to provide gentle but effective exfoliation, revealing deeply cleansed, soft and radiant skin. Enriched with naturally sourced Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that will help to shield your skin against environmental damage and premature skin ageing by combating the harmful effects of free radicals. The indulgent formula also contains a skin conditioning multivitamin complex consisting of vitamins A,B ,F and H. I was unable to find it on their website to link directly. They do have a similar scrub within the same range however.

I’m keen to try these products out and see how well they work for me. If you have tried any of the products mentioned I would love to know your thoughts on them. Do you have any great budget skincare finds that you love? Let me know in my comment section.

  9. Hi, all of the products look great. I have to use a specific product due to sensitive skin. Great to read what you think about them, Chloe

    1. I too have to use certain products but I wouldn’t mind giving these a try if the price is right. I usually exclusively use tropic (the best but too expensive for me to use every day) and simple (perfect price range and everyone stocks me up at Christmas/birthdays anyway!) but I’ve started having reactions to simple recently.
I may just switch to tropic full time and just use sparingly, but I’ll give these a go I think first. You never know when something will be amazing!

  12. Who doesn’t love purse friendly skincare which delivers on its promise?! Personally i have a few of Superdrug’s Radiant range & absolutely love them!! (Same for the Botanicals Range in Boots!) The Oatmeal scrub is brilliant & a definite dupe for a scrub from First Aid Beauty!
I am intrigued by the Glycolic pads i wonder if they would be any good for my skin?! Would love a review!!
I also love Shop Well For Less because i always learn something! Plus getting a few handy hints along the way doesn’t hurt either!! ;0)
I would love to be able to try out those masks & washes from L’Oreal but they’re not cruelty free so i can’t! But i did find a good sheet mask from Yes to Tomatoes in Boots which is so yay!
Today i bought a new CC CREAM from Superdrug-their oen brand which just happens to be cruelty free & i can’t wait to use it in Spring!! For once my skin is actually behaving & i can’t believe it!! I hope your new buys work as well for you as they have for me!!
Loving your work Melanie great photos too!!! I’m jealous!!! 😱😱😍😍

  13. I’ve been looking out for a gentle exfoliator so I will probably try out that Vitamin E one. I like the look of the Natural Radiance line too!
