Roccabox is the new kid on the block when it comes to monthly subscriptions and what makes this box different and unique is that every month they work with a blogger or influencer to create a box full of items chosen by the blogger/influencer which I think is pretty awesome and such a great opportunity to try a range of products and even introduce us to new ones. The box is very blogger’esk in its simple white design with rose gold lettering on the lid.
I believe this box launched in March, so as a brand they’re still very new. I received my first box at the beginning of the month and for June they have teamed up with Jessica Harris influencer and curator of TwentySixStyle to bring us this months box of goodness with five hand-picked products. The items included are:
Bloomtown Botanicals Roll-on Infused Oil – The Rose Garden *
This is as the title states an infused oil fragrance for your pulse points, it smells so beautiful and fresh and its long wearing being an oil so a little goes a long way and it lasts for a while too, it’s always good to find a product that packs a punch and goes that extra mile. It is formulated with essentials oils and a vitamin E blend which makes it dry skins best friend. I’ve not used it this way but they also say it can be used on spilt ends too. This product is full size at 9g / 3oz and it retails for £4.80 on the Bloomtown website.
Olverum Bath Oil *
A beautifully scented bath oil made using a unique and luxurious aromatic blend of essential oils which combine to deeply nourish and moisturise the skin, whilst easing stress and relaxing tension in both mind and body to leave you feeling restored and renewed. Olverum Bath Oil is highly concentrated and only 5ml is needed per bath. Virtually all the oil is absorbed by the skin leaving no greasy residue in the bath after use, it’s a yes from me, there’s no fun in trying to get out of a bath which is as slippery as a sheet of glass. I received a 15ml sample bottle which should last 3 baths. A full size bottle is 125ml and retails at £26.00 and should last 25 baths. Just over £1 per bath.
Vintage Cosmetic Company Lash Curlers *
I never apply mascara to my lashes until I have curled them and as it happens I was looking to get a new pair of lash curlers when these dropped through the door. Perfect timing or what. In a beautiful rose gold finish they are exactly what I was looking for. They leave my lashes perfectly curled ready for mascara. A gorgeous and functional addition to my makeup bag. They also come in silver and the retail for £7.00.
Svelte Super Tea *
This tea promises to nourish your skin, energise your body and boost your immune system. It is made using a combination of:
Yerba mate: is a central nervous system stimulant containing caffeine, but it also contains a number of other nutrients, including antioxidants, amino acids, polyphenols, vitamins and minerals.
Nettle: has a soothing effect on the central nervous system in turn triggers a sensation of relaxation and calmness. It also boosts metabolism and is a natural appetite suppressant.
Dandelion: is high in fibre making it a beneficial aid for digestion and intestinal health. Fibre is responsible for quickly moving foods through the digestive tract, helping it function optimally.
Ginger: has a long tradition of being very effective in alleviating discomfort and pain in the stomach. Ginger promotes the elimination of excessive gas from the digestive system and soothes the intestinal tract.
Fennel: is a source of vitamin B-6, which plays a vital role in energy metabolism by breaking down carbohydrates and proteins into glucose and amino acids. These smaller compounds are more easily utilized for energy within the body.
Seaweed: can help protect against oxidative stresses and prevent chronic diseases such as cancer and digestive problems. It is with this mix of ingredients that this tea has gut healing, anti-inflammatory, skin-improving and metabolism boosting properties make it better and harder working than your average brew. I’m definitely a fan of herbal tea and I believe they can really benefit me drinking the right ones. I think I’ll be heading to the We Are Tea site to place myself an order. The full size product contains 12 pyramid teabags and retails at £3.49.
This is a full size product at 3.8g / 0.13Fl oz. It’s a a lovely rich formula which feels creamy to apply using the doe foot applicator but then dries down to leave a matte appearance, it doesn’t feel drying on the lips which can be the case with matte lipsticks which is always a bonus. Incognito is a beautiful pinky nude shade which will be suited to a lot of skin tones, I’m a nude gal so this is right up my street. I’d never heard of this brand until I received this box and after trying this lip crème I definitely need to check out their other products and shades of lipsticks. This product retails for £20.00.
