Is it really that time again? It’s hard to believe we are waving goodbye to yet another month which has flown by! As we are now approaching September, we do two things, say goodbye to Summer, if that’s what you would even call it, and we welcome the arrival of Autumn. Or at least I welcome Autumn, its my favourite season, so at this time of year I feel really happy and excited to see in the Autumn. But enough of that, we still have most of September left to cling to those final hopes of any sign of Summer. All is not lost though, it has been known for us to have a heat wave in October! Don’t give up hope just yet.
After having the month of July off from blogging, I have absolutely loved throwing myself back into it this month. I have definitely found my love for it again, the break has done me the world of good. As I mentioned earlier about it being my favourite time of year, I find inspiration for posts comes easier to me. I have a bunch of posts pre-planned which I am excited about. I’m looking forward to seeing what our new month, and new season will bring.
The products I have been loving this month are quite a random bunch, so lets jump right in.
Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops – Moonlight
After finally getting my hands on this, it quickly became clear what a great decision it was. This product is a great multitasker and can be used in more than one way, this only makes me love it even more. I have used this both alone as a highlight over my high points, and also mixed into my foundation for a beautiful dewy, radiant complexion. Go easy, it requires a light hand, a drop too much and you could be mistaken for the face of the sun! The intensity of highlight you get with this could give the Cullen’s a run for their money! I kid you not. Its better to use little and top up, than go straight in with too much. It has a dropper in the cap which is perfect to get the right amount of product to use. I am so happy I finally have this, I might even grab another colour now I know how amazing they are! I will without a doubt be packing this to take on holiday! Hello sun beams coming from my face! Best not forget the shades!
Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Highlighter – Goddess Of Love
I have been so blown away by the quality of this highlight. For being a reasonably priced drug store item it has the quality of a luxury, high-end product. I love baked powders, the texture is always so fine and blends out so effortlessly. This feels like creamy butter to touch, the pigmentation and highlight is so intense. The shade I went for was Goddess Of Love, it is a stunning champagne colour with pink reflects, it is beautiful on the skin. I am quite new to this brand, but after my positive experience of this product, I can safely say I will be buying more.
My third and most recent addition to my Glamglow family. I have been lusting after this for so long, when I spotted the 15g tube on Boots website I snagged it! Any mask that claims to tighten, firm and reduce my pores is a one worth trying! It’s also a peel off mask which are my personal favourites! I love the blue colour of the limited edition tube I have. I’m not sure how this works, all I know is, it just does! It works incredible if I’m honest. My face looks more youthful and toned, firmer for want of a better work, and my pores shrank so much I can hardly find them! I have to say, I think Glamglow masks are my all time favourite. They deliver every single time. I wanted to test this first, which is why I went for the smaller tube, but without any doubt I will be repurchasing the full size jar one I finish my Sonic blue Gravitymud.
Skin Chemists Rose Quartz Hydrating & Illuminating Day Moisturiser *
I have been trying this out for around a month now, I have to say I am really enjoying it, I have had some good results too. It smells amazing also, I just want to cover myself in it! This product is of a creamy consistency, and a little goes a long way. This cream is made up from natural ingredients which include, alpine rose stem cells, to help repair the skin from harsh daily environmental factors, as well as provide crucial hydration. Vitamin E which acts as an antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory to help sooth and repair the skin. The moisture balance is then restored in the skin by the Rose Otto Oil which also works as an anti-bacterial agent.
Skin Chemists have targeted this product toward anyone who has dull, or damaged skin. It has really helped to brighten my overall complexion, while reducing any fine lines, along with any signs of fatigue. I feel that my skin looks more youthful and radiant from using this. I would have no qualms in repurchasing this once I reach the end of this bottle. It has definitely delivered on its promises in my experience.
Bean Body – Coffee & Coconut Body Scrub
On my quest for a smoother, firmer overall tone to my skin I discovered this in Holland and Barrett. Caffeine is great for improving circulation, and stimulating blood flow, making it perfect for targeting areas of cellulite, which unfortunately most of us experience. As I am off on my jollies next month, meaning I will be sporting less clothing than I wear in the UK, I would like to improve the overall tone and texture of my more stubborn areas, said areas being my thighs and tummy. I opted for the coffee and coconut pack, they do have other varieties available, I thought the coconut would be more beneficial to my skin. I am pleased to report a significant improvement in my tone, my body looks firmer and less textured since I have been targeting my problem areas. I still have over a month to go, I’m excited to see what I can achieve by then. I would like to add, I also combine this scrub with a daily routine of using a body brush and firming creams. I have done this alone in the past and not noticed results half as good as I do with the scrub.
This is the ultimate Summer / Holiday scent. It is an intoxicating mix of coconut infused with crisp, refreshing lime. It just smells heavenly, the scent takes you away to hot tropical lands. It’s like bottled sunshine and pina coladas! Two things I adore! It is an oil based perfume which in turn makes this incredibly long wearing. You won’t need to reapply throughout the day. As the fragrance settles into the skin, it smells even more delightful. Honestly, I would bathe in this if I could! If you are passing a local department store, you must drop in and smell this for yourself. I know I won’t be doing it the justice it deserves. You need to see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed, I promise.
Primark Nude Studded Heels
Ringing in at the bargain price of £14.00, what is there not to love about these stunning heels. These are straight up dupes for the beautiful Valentino’s, minus the hefty £650 price tag! I have looked tirelessly for what feels like forever for these in my size, finally I was in luck on my recent trip to Primark! I had them in my basket fasten then you could say dupe! I absolutely love them, they’re being packed for my trip to Dubai next month! I can’t wait to show them off!
New Look Manhattan Tee
I am a big fan of this style tee. I saw this online and I knew I had to have it. It’s a bit of a dupe for the Gucci tee, but if I’m honest, I actually prefer the high street copies. Especially this one, this is definitely my favourite! I’m actually debating buying a second for when the first is past its best! Bit much? Maybe. Costing less than £10.00, you definitely can’t grumble.
