October Favourites

How can I possibly be sitting down to type my October favourites already?!

Ok, who hit the fast-forward button on 2017! How is it the end of October! How?! I don’t think I’ve ever felt a year pass as quickly as this one has. With only two months left of the year, we really are at the business end of things as we rapidly approach the festive season.

I’m feeling excited as we move into November, Costa launch their festive menu, Christmas cups, and not forgetting the mince pies!! Then there is Bonfire night and fireworks to look forward, not to mention extra levels of coziness as it gets even colder, lots of hot drinks, warm blankets, candles burning, extra snuggles, all of the delicious food, the Christmas decorations, need I go on?

It’s fair to say I love this time of year! Anytime now I’ll go all Buddy the Elf and be so pro Christmas! I have some fun content planned which I’m excited about. Because I feel like Blogmas would be a bit much, I plan to do a 12 Days of Christmas series of posts from either December 12th, or 13th, and ending on either the 24th or the 25th. Maybe finishing on Christmas Eve might be best? If you have any thoughts on this please leave me a comment letting me know.

I have a good selection of loves for October, I’ve really found some great products which I had to include in this post, so let’s just jump right in.

Fresh Vitamin Nectar Mask

Is it a face mask? Is it marmalade?! It’s hard to tell! If you served me this on toast I swear I’d not be able to tell the difference! Ok, so maybe it would taste a bit funky but it certainly looks and smells like marmalade, it even has shredded orange peel in!

It’s easy to see why this mask works so well to brighten my complexion when it is packed full of vitamin C and natural ingredients. This is my go to pick me up when my skin is feeling grumpy, and looking a little lacklustre. It really gives me back my glow that this Autumn/Winter weather robs from me! I grabbed the smaller jar, but I will definitely be repurchasing the bigger size next timeWhat’s more, and this is only something I’ve learned recently myself. John Lewis stock a full Fresh skincare range, and I for one can’t wait to dive in and try out more products from their range.

The Bodyshop Vanilla Pumpkin Hand Cream

If you like pumpkin scented things, but haven’t smelled this, you need to go to your local Body Shop and try it immediately! It’s divine! So perfectly Autumnal, with just the right amount of sweetness from the vanilla. The formula is rich and creamy which leaves my hands so soft, and smelling delightful!

I love The Body Shop hand creams in general, but this is my favourite so far! Of course a limited edition one would be my favourite! Now I’ll have to stock pile so I don’t run out till next year! Fingers crossed it comes back! It seems to have been popular so here’s hoping. They also have a shower gel, a body butter and a shimmer perfume in the same scent.

Chanel Soleli De Chanel

We hit it off so well we’re practically BFF’s! I am such a huge fan of this products. I love how it works beautifully for a more natural look, but also lends itself effortlessly to all out glam! It brings such warm glow to my complexion. If I want a day I go for a low-key no makeup, makeup look I’ll 100% reach for this for my natural warmth and colouring to help bring my to life. I took this on my recent holiday to Dubai too and it was the perfect all over bronzer for that holiday sun-kissed glow.

The jar is actually a lot bigger than I expected, you do get a lot of product, yet you don’t need a lot to apply. I definitely think that this is worth the price point. Such great quality and a lot of product, plus a little bit of luxury, which lets be real, we all love a little bit of that sometimes.

Tom Ford Eye Cream Sphinx

Honestly, I’d go as far as to say that this cream eyeshadow is probably one of the best I own, if not the best. The colour of Sphinx is a thing of beauty. It is the most stunning shade of gold with orange reflects which create a beautiful iridescent look. The pigment is incredible!

I prefer to apply this using my finger tip, or a synthetic packing brush to ensure I get good coverage on the lid. It applies and blends effortlessly. I have found it to be long wearing on the times I have worn it. It is pricey for what it is, but after seeing how it performs I would say it is worth it. It’s all down to how much the individual is happy to spend. Personally, I love it!

Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette

Honestly, I am still not over how beautiful this palette is! I have done a whole post on this which you can find here. Eyeshadow palettes are my jam, they are my makeup vice! I loved this palette from the first time I saw it doing the rounds on social media many months ago! I loved it even more after seeing the big revel video from Jaclyn Hill. I waited patiently for this to finally come to the UK because I just couldn’t get on board with the outrageous shipping and custom fees!

Now I have it, I can safely say it was worth such a long wait. The looks you can create using this palette are endless! So glad she’s mine!

Sephora Colourful 5 Eyeshadow Palette – Mild To Wild Khaki

I grabbed this in Dubai on one of my many Sephora visits! When you live in the UK with zero Sephora’s, you gotta take what you can! Oh and BTW Sephora, while we’re on the subject, it’s 2017, why doesn’t the UK have a Sephora?! Hook us up!! Please and thank you! Okay, I’ve digressed! Back to the palette!

I decided to grab a palette with a bunch of shades I don’t have a lot of, of course I gravitated towards the warm toned nudes, but I snapped myself out of it and picked something a little more out of my comfort zone. I love how green eyeshadow looks on, and I wanted a slice of that action for myself. This little palette comes with five shades, four shimmers, one of which has a lot of pressed glitter, and one matte. It’s definitely a great addition to my makeup collection and a nice little change to the shades I generally go for.

Primark Knitted Jumper

Oh hey sweater weather! I’m more than prepared for you with this gorgeous pearl embellished knit! Hands down, Autumn and Winter fashion is my favourite! I love cosy knitwear, the rich burgundy and mustard yellow shades that adorn the shops! What I love more, is all of that gorgeous fashion for a bargain price!

I could just about contain my excitement when I spied this hanging up in my local Primark and in my size! You all know how more often than not you find something you love in Primark, but everyone got their first and they have about 4 sizes too small, or 4 too big! No happy medium! The saying “If you’re not fast, you’re last” is most definitely true of Primark! Well this time I was fast! Yay for me!! Such a cute little sweater! I love it!

Have you had any great finds in October?
