I love subscription boxes, they’re like little gifts to ourselves every month! I think it’s a brilliant concept to allow us to try our new brands we might be unfamiliar with or might not usually go for. I was a regular subscriber to Birchbox until about September when I realised I was getting a lot of the same things and I cancelled.
A little email from Birchbox slid into my inbox with the words Vogue in the subject field. Without a second thought I clicked to read more! Birchbox and Vogue have teamed up to bring us November’s box. They have two designs on offer, both as gorgeous as each other! I went for the classic black and gold “contemporary chic” design.
The contents of the boxes have been hand-picked from the Vogue 100 Beauty Hall Of Fame by Vogue editors past and present, and boy did they do good! This must be the best Birchbox I’ve ever received! Some great brands have been included and all for the price of £12.95 including postage!
Mini Hoola Bronzer RRP £24.50
Ye olde faithful. I already knew I was going to receive this as Birchbox used this as their sneak peek inside of the Vogue boxes. What a great product to include. One of the most iconic, cult bronzers on the market. Despite being a mini bronzer I still feel the sizing is generous.
I’m not at all surprised to see this included in the Vogue edition box. It’s one of my all time favourites, now they have Hoola lite even the fairest beauties can get their Hoola on!
Makeup Brush Cleaner RRP £5.00
Receiving this served as a reminder that my brushes were way overdue a clean. Such a tedious task, a tedious task made easier with the help of a handy brush cleaner like this one. It speeds up the brush cleaning process and gives them a really thorough clean.
Using a brush cleaner like this is my personal favourite method of getting my brushes clean. Like I’ve said, it’s just so quick and it requires minimum effort, which let’s be honest, the less time we spend cleaning them the better.
L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream RRP from £8.00
I’m already a regular user of this product and I can’t speak highly enough of it. The full size tube is fairly big for fitting into a handbag with all of my other must haves. I think I could benefit from a bag like the one Mary Poppins has as I stash just about everything I can carry in it! The mini version inside this Birchbox is the perfect handbag friendly size for on the go.
I believe this is one of L’Occitane’s best sellers and you only have to try it to see why. It is incredibly nourishing for even my dry, eczema plagued hands. I’ve been a loyal repurchaser of this for years as I’ve been unable to find another cream that leaves my hand so moisturised.
Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oatmilk RRP £8.00
I’ve got to be honest, upon seeing this my first thought was, not another dry shampoo for crying out loud! I don’t think I’ve had a box without a dry shampoo of some kind inside. However, after reading about it, my reaction could have been a little premature as I’ve recently started suffering with a dry, sensitive scalp. This promises to work in harmony with said scalps and sooth while disguising hair we should have washed the day before.
Percy Reed – Smooth, Sealed & Sensational Volumising No Oil, Oil RRP £14.00
This is the only product included that I’ve not tried. After reading the leaflet included in the box, along with the fact it’s highly rated among Vogue 100 Hall Of Fame products, I can’t wait to try it.
Packed with pro vitamin B5 it promises to deliver deep moisture and nourishment to even the driest hair. We could all use an extra boost at this time of year so I’m really looking forward to seeing how this works out for me.
