Cosy Nights & Binge Worthy Box Sets

*This is a sponsored post*

As the dark nights creep in earlier and earlier with every coming day, and the air gets somewhat chillier, we all look to our home comforts to keep us warm. For me Winter screams out cosy, whether it be drinking hot chocolate under warm blankets with your favourite box sets, or a delightful bath scented with your favourite bath bomb or bubbles. It all makes for a great season to practice extra self-care. I for one definitely find myself indulging in long relaxing bubble baths more and more.

One thing guaranteed to warm us through for the ultimate cosy night in is a hot soak in the tub! It’s so comforting and warming to relax with your favourite bubble bar! Now the bath has been checked off it’s time to grab some cosy socks and pyjamas and settle down to enjoy your favourite movies or box sets! This post is in collaboration with Oled 4k TV Panasonic and I’m going to be sharing some of my all time favourite box sets with you.

I personally love box sets, especially when you get into them and binge watch one after the other! There are some fab box sets to choose from too! Some of my favourites are:

Stranger Things

I feel like I was a bit late to the party on this one. After seeing the name Stranger Things appearing all over my social media I knew I’d be missing a trick if I didn’t watch it. Jack and I spent the weekend totally addicted and binge watched both seasons! It’s such an awesome show with some incredible characters. I’m completely obsessed with this now, we’ve already watched it over a couple more times.

It is set in a small town in Indiana in the mid 80s, it has a bit of a sci-fi twist, but if that’s not your thing don’t let it put you off, I’m not crazy on sci-fi and I LOVE this! I don’t really want to say much more on it and spoil anything for those who are lucky enough to experience it for the very first time.

Game Of Thrones

I’m going to hold my hands up and admit right off that bat that I’m a huge Thrones fan! I think it’s one of the best TV shows I’ve ever watched, I’d really go that far. The storylines, the characters, how it is put together, they just get it all so right. You become heavily invested in the show from the outset.

If you have managed to go the last 6 years without seeing or becoming aware of G.O.T, in short it is a fantasy drama series which is now up to season 8. It is an adaptation of A Song Of Fire And Ice by George R. R. Martin.

If you’re one of those people who have watched trailers but think that this show isn’t for you, I urge you to at least watch the first couple of episodes in the first season. I tried tirelessly to get Jack to watch it to no avail. At the end of season 7 he asked to watch it much to my delight! This being the same Jack who maintained the show wasn’t for him and it was a too far-fetched. He watched 7 seasons with 10 one hour plus episodes per season in under 2 weeks!!

Sex And The City

A box set that never goes out of style, unlike some of Carrie Bradshaw’s outfit choices! And men for that matter! I still hate her a little bit for the whole Aidan thing! What a catch he was. So fun and relatable to watch four 30 something women on their dating escapes.

You get laughs, tears and car crash relationship a plenty throughout the series. Don’t forget the two follow on films too. A great girly box set to binge on till your heart’s content! A firm favourite with me.

Friends

You can’t mention some of the best box sets without mentioning Friends. It may have wrapped for the final time back in 2004, yes that’s right, 2004! It makes me feel old too especially as I remember watching them week on week when they were new to see whether Ross and Rachel would finally get together!!

One of my all time favourites and for me, it never gets old. I know the episodes word for word now. If they ever rekindle the Friends flame I could be an extra!

What are your favourite box sets? I’d love to hear some recommendations.
