Oh hey SPRING!!! What took you so long! Does anyone else feel like we’ve been waiting for Spring for what feels like foreverrrr?! I don’t know about you but I absolutely love this time of year, seeing all of the beautiful brightly coloured flowers blossoming, finally getting back our lighter nights, the days gradually getting warmer not to mention sunnier, meaning we can dust the cobwebs off our favourite Summery clothes and those cute sandals we love. A sunny morning is like an instant mood lifter, I find that I feel a lot more uplifted at this time of year being greeted by bright sun beams bursting through my curtains! Its also my birthday in Spring so I mean, maybe that has something to do with me loving it so much.
Along with changing up my wardrobe I change up my beauty products for the season also. I’m not gonna lie, I love my Autumn/Winter colours the most but its good to mix things up a bit, I don’t want to walk around in the Spring and Summer looking like Miss Vamp 24/7.
One thing I love to do with my makeup in Spring is to up my glow and dewyness, I use an illuminating primer and highlight like crazy, more than usual. I also try to make a conscious effort to step away from my usual nudes and blush pinks and reach for brighter pinks and corals, same with blush, its probably the only time of year you will see me wearing a different shade to a nudey one or soft pink. I’m definitely a creature of habit so I do find it a little challenging to part with my nudes and pinks in favour of brighter shades. What can I say, a girl loves her go to nudes and pinks.
Some of my favourite Spring colours and products I’ve dug out of my makeup collection for to brighten me up this Spring are:
Face
NYX Born To Glow Illuminating Primer
This adds a beautiful radiance to my skin and gives me a great base to work off for a dewy glow under my foundation.
Clinique Cheek Pop – Melon Pop
This is the cutest blush and it is so Spring appropriate with the flower print in the blush! I love this beautiful peach shade to add a wash of coral to my cheeks.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush – Dim Infusion
This blush gives the most luminous finish to my skin while adding a gorgeous pink tone to my cheeks. I love this all year around but for added glow its a regular in my makeup routine at this time of year.
Another great shimmery peach shade, its baked and finely milled so it blends into the skin like a dream and you can build the colour to your desired shade.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed – Champagne Pop
Perfect for me to get a more peach, champagne like glow. I love how this looks on the skin and it is no secret that Becca pressed powder is my all time favourite formula.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette
All of the light please! I cannot get enough of this! Its a triple whammy product, each little square of goodness brings something different to the party, I use this all over my face, I grab a large fluffy brush and dust it all over my face. It adds just the perfect amount of product giving a beautiful glow.
Eyes
Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette
To look at this palette is screams out loud and bright but with a light touch it delivers a nice amount of colour that you can build if you prefer to add some colour to any Spring makeup look. Its such a fun palette.
MAC Cosmetics Eye Shadow Pigment Chartreuse
I love how a green shadow looks on my eye yet I never feel that I wear it enough so what better time then now?! I love the colour of this pigment, so bright and fresh looking. Great on the lid or undereye.
Lips
Lancome Juicy Shaker – Freedom Of Peach
A very subtle peach sheen. I love the formula of these shakers. One of my most used products.
MAC Cosmetics Lipstick Costa Chic
Light coral in a frost formula so the colour is not too intense but I really like some of the MAC frost colours.
MAC Cosmetics Lipstick Chatterbox
Described as a red toned pink in an amplified creme formula giving an intense pink colour when applied.
MAC Cosmetics Girl About Town
A blue toned fuchsia, this is the brightest of the colours I’ve picked out to Spring up my makeup.
MAC Cosmetics Lipstick Snob
A light neutral pink, well I couldn’t totally step away from my go to colours but this still offers a good amount of colour while remaining soft and more understated. One of my favourites as you can see by the usage.
MAC Cosmetics Cremesheen Glass Fashion Scoop
Perfect to add a little extra something something to my lips, it works well with all of the shades I tend to wear.
Jouer Cosmetics Long Wear Lip Topper – Skinny Dip
I love this, it totally changing up your lip game when you apply it. It works with any shade I feel and gives a gorgeous high shine with shimmer to any lip.

Beautiful photos! I love NYX and Urban Decay so much. They are my main go-to brands. Haven’t worn makeup much lately at all, but when I do, I reach for those products!
All the highlighters!!! I love the Ambient Lighting powders and blushes. I’ve done a clear out, so mine are mostly gone. They were so amazing though!
