October moments 🎃👻 This month we discovered Hey Bears Dancing Fruit, specially the dancing pumpkins which have been a huge hit with Aurora. I couldn’t be any prouder that she shares my affinity with all things pumpkin. We went to Scotland with Aurora for the first time and then again later in the month. SO HAPPY to be getting regular visits again! We enjoyed pumpkin patch and Halloween sensory classes, visited a pumpkin patch and took autumnal walks through crunchy leaves and enjoyed cuddles while watching Gilmore Girls. We were very on brand with the month of October tbh. Oh, and we also visited a gorgeous artisan bakery, Grants in Corbridge. The coffee is so good and their cakes. OMG the cakes! They all look INCREDIBLE. September 🍁🍂🎃 Still very much loving our newborn bubble and soaking every bit of it up. Everyone is always saying how quickly time goes by and it’s frightening how true that is. I can hardly believe Aurora is almost 8 weeks old! It feels like she’s changing every day. She’s so much more alert now and she watches everything. We’ve moved on from black and white sensory videos to the dancing fruit which she’s enjoying. A few of my favourite September moments 💕 Baby cuddles 🍁 Autumn officially arriving 🎃 Decorating the house for pumpkin season ☕️ Coffee dates as a family 🌊 Walks by the sea 🍂 Starting Gilmore Girls FINALLY! Aurora’s first set of wheels 🥰 The Egg Stroller travel system in Feather with gold chassis. This was one of the first prams I tried early on in my second trimester and I loved it from that point. I did try lots of other prams but I always kept coming back to the Egg pram. It doesn’t feel too big for my petite frame and it’s one of the lighter prams on the market too. Baby girl is officially registered now 💕 Introducing our beautiful baby, Aurora 🥰 This may come as a bit of a surprise but the name isn’t inspired by Disney. Aurora was a name we both loved and agreed on years and years ago, like 2012 or something. It was one of two names we had in mind and definitely the favourite of the two. Later on the same day as what would be a successful embryo transfer, I went to the Northern Lights Display in Newcastle where one of the displays was called Aurora. The following night was the first time we saw the Aurora Borealis after years of failed attempts. As it happens we actually went on to see quite a lot of the Aurora over the course of 2024. It felt right and significant to go with Aurora after so many special moments throughout pregnancy 💕 We even went to a favourite restaurant and Aurora was the name of one of their specials that day. On the run up to our date to have her, the Aurora watch app was going crazy on my phone with quite a bit of activity too.
