Cleansing is one of the most important steps in a skincare routine and a good cleanser is a must. Cleansing the skin not only cleans the skin, it also prepares it for other products to be applied and absorbed. In the beauty world there are a certain number of products that are regarded as cult products. This Eve Lom Cleanser * is one of them. But is it worth the hype it gets? Is it really all that? Does it deserve its place in the beauty hall of fame?
Well, actually yes. It really is all that. Being a person who once thought very little of cleansers for being a quick on off product that doesn’t really matter. I can safely say I’ve progressed and I know the value of a good cleanser. The cleanser itself is more of a balm with a very thick consistency using its signature blend of four aromatic plant oils. The scent of this makes me feel very tranquil and relaxed, very much the scents that remind me of a spa. Who doesn’t love a spa?
Eve Lom have created this cleanser to be perfectly balanced for all skin types, concerns and environmental conditions making it suitable for everyone. Using the oils it deeply cleanses the skin, removing impurities and stubborn eye makeup with ease. It both cleanses and exfoliates in simple step to allow skin cell regeneration and reveal a more radiant complexion.
Active Ingredients:
Clove Oil (has antiseptic properties to encourage clear skin)
Eucalyptus Oil (helps drain away toxins)
Hops Oil (tones)
Egyptian Chamomile Oil (softens and soothes)
Cocoa Butter (conditions)
How To Use It
With the cleanser you also receive a muslin cloth to make the most of this product. Probably not the quickest method of cleansing, but 100% the best. I start by massaging the cleanser to dry skin. I follow by immersing the cloth in hot water, squeeze excess and place it over my face to heat the product and open my pores. Eve Lom advise to repeat this step a further two times. I then rinse my muslin cloth and use it wipe away any remaining cleanser on my skin. Once my skin is completely clean and free of cleanser, I immerse my cloth in cold water and place it on my skin to close my pores. It might sound long-winded but it is absolutely worth the time, my skin has never felt better.
My Thoughts
This is the first product I have tried from Eve Lom and what an incredible product to start with! I had heard so many rave reviews about this cleanser it is safe to say I was more than intrigued by it. I have to be honest, the reviews don’t do it justice. I’d go as far as to say that this is one of the, if not the best cleanser I have used. My skin is clear, brighter, more radiant and everything I apply on top is absorbed so much better after using this. A real cult product in the beauty world and now I totally understand why. Everything about it is a delight to use, even the cloth is a dream.
It is on the pricey side but the results speak for themselves. I will post definitely continue to use this product in my skincare routines and I am more than happy to repurchase.

I don’t think I have ever read a bad review of this cleanser. I’m not a fan of balm cleansers as it’s difficult for me to stand at a sink due to disabilities, so I prefer the ones you use with a cotton pad, like micellar water or a cream cleanser. Otherwise, I would probably use them. It’s the same issue for me with wash off masks. 🙂

I don’t think I have ever heard anything bad about this cleanser and it has been around for ages! It’s one I haven’t got around to trying though :(. Definitely might need to change that, I love a good cleanser! x
