It’s only just gone March and this is the first of not one, but two new launches for Anastasia Beverly Hills in 2019! Talk about starting out strong! ABH has really hit the ground running this year and it’s making me so excited to see what Anastasia and Norvina have in store for the rest of 2019.

The Collection was released around mid-February and is a modest, yet beautiful collection consisting of two eyeshadow quads, two lip gloss and two liquid lipsticks. All of the products come in gorgeous limited edition packaging which is to-die-for! The Collection is in two parts, The Daytime Collection and The Sunset Collection.

One touch that I love is that if you buy the full Daytime or Sunset Collections you can get them in PR packaging complete with cute heart sunglasses! Can ABH do any wrong? One thing to note is that there are limited quantities of the PR packaged sets so be quick.

When I first saw Novina unveiling this collection on her Instagram stories I instantly knew I’d be buying some. I was initially drawn to the daytime collection as warm tones are my life! Now having watched a few YouTube videos of them I actually think I might just prefer the sunset collection. Both collections are absolutely stunning and so perfect for transitioning into the Spring. The eyeshadow quads are interchangeable and reusable with individual eyeshadow pans. To match each quad there are two lip products, both with matching caps to tie in with their matching palette. They give off very tropical vibes with the palm trees on the packaging which I am so here for.

Now I feel I’ve rambled on long enough I think we should move onto the collections. I don’t have both full collections but I’ll explain why as we go.

The Daytime Collection

Eyeshadow Quad

Designed for creating subtle daytime spring eye looks, I feel it has the perfect balance. You get two mattes and two metallic shades all selected to work together in perfect harmony. The metallic shades are truly stunning and the real reason behind my purchase. I adore the formula, the way they perform, for me they are my ideal warm tone shades. You get such an intense colour pay off with all of the shades and they all blend together beautifully. This quad reminds of a spring sunrise where the sun is almost golden against a warm red sky in the morning.

Shades included:

  • Sunny (Metallic sunset golden yellow)
  • Sand Castle (Matte sandy nude)
  • Papaya (Matte pastel orange)
  • Rose Quartz (Metallic pink with peach shift)

In the Daytime Collection, there are also two metallic liquid lipsticks which look beautiful and tie in nicely to the quad. I didn’t buy either of them because I’m not personally a fan of a metallic lip. I’m kinda sad that I feel that way because they do look gorgeous. Some of the full makeup looks using them with the palette look amazing. I just feel that a metallic lip doesn’t work for me.

The Liquid Lipsticks:

You can buy the complete Daytime Collection for £51. The quad is £33 and the lipsticks £20 each. The set works out pretty good value for money as you essentially get a lipstick for free.

The Sunset Collection

 Eyeshadow Quad

The Sunset Collection surprised me as I didn’t expect to buy into it as much. After seeing some makeup looks using the palette I soon fell in love. I thought the top right shade was a metallic silver which put me off a little. In the end, it was in realising it was so much more than that which led me into buying it. The shade is actually more of bluey silver with a violet shift. For me, this shade is the real winner out of this whole collection. It’s so unusual and unlike any eyeshadows I own, so of course, this was reason enough to have to buy it. Despite having four shades I feel that there are a lot of options with this palette. I can definitely see myself reaching for this constantly throughout spring and summer.

Shades included:

  • Birkin (Matte warm beige mauve)
  • Blue Flash (Duo Chrome blue and violet shift sparkle)
  • Streak (Metallic bronzy nude)
  • Horizon (Matte grey plum)

Paired with the quad are two lip glosses which I did buy, I wasn’t planning on it but after seeing them on I caved. They work so well with the looks you can create using the palette I couldn’t resist. I do love a lip gloss.

The Lip Gloss:

  • Pink Daiquiri (Multidimensional pink pearl sparkle)
  • Blue Hawaii (Multidimensional blue sparkle with a violet shift)

The inspiration for the collection is taken from the sunset where the sun creates a beautiful lilac sky as it sets. The packaging is a gorgeous soft lilac tone with palm trees on, much like the daytime collection.

You can buy the complete Sunset Collection for £49. Individually the quad is £33 and the lip glosses £17 each.

I love the simplicity of the collection which is all about creating a fresh, light spring look. The brand has executed it perfectly. The packaging, both outer and inner is so pretty and works well with the shades used.  I adore both quads and I know they’ll see plenty of use moving forward and I plan to take them on my summer holidays too. They are so perfect for holiday makeup, subtle yet stunning.
