I’m a bit of fan girl over Charlotte Tilbury, but then who isn’t? It’s one of the most popular beauty brands on the planet right now. One of my beauty goals for 2018 was to try more from the brand and buy one or two things a month in a bid to work my way through the range.. However, in true beauty obsessive fashion that didn’t turn out to be the case and rather I got about 8 things in one month. Can I just say in my defence it was my birthday money so I think getting that spendy is totally justifiable, right? I mean, I think so.
I feel that it is such an iconic brand, to me Charlotte Tilbury products epitomise elegance and class. All of the products that I have tried have been of the highest quality. The packaging is to die for, even the outer packaging. Her concessions are probably my favourite of any of her beauty rivals. On a whole the brand is simply stunning.
Charlotte Tilbury recently launched a new collection in two parts. Her Beauty Filters Collection which is 99% limited edition. There’s just something oh so irresistible about a limited edition beauty range and as a beauty addict I often find myself powerless to resist. I gradually acquired my collection across three separate purchases and I am absolutely smitten with the collection. The colours and tones are just exquisite.
When creating the Beauty Filters Collection Charlotte did so with Instagram filters in mind. Wouldn’t we all love to live a Valencia filtered life! I know I would. The products are designed to enhance and give a filtered like appearance to our complexion. Say no more! I was sold from the outset, I need the filters, all of the filters!
This was my first purchase of the collection, and in truth the only one I initially planned on getting. When this first launched there was so much hype around it I couldn’t help but buy into it. Packaged as you would expect to find a foundation, and at first glimpse that’s exactly what I thought this was. As it would have it, I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The Hollywood Flawless Filter is a new revolutionary, hybrid complexion booster which is unlike any other product on the market. With this you get the imperfection-blurring benefits of a primer, the luminosity of a highlighter and the perfecting properties of your favourite Instagram filter. With this you can constantly be Valencia filtered to perfection!
You can wear this under, over or in place of foundation, or mixed into your favourite base products for a smooth, radiant complexion that emits that glow from within look we all adore. Charlotte Tilbury calls it “the ultimate high gloss, high glow celebrity skin filter in a bottle”
Everything about this down to the finest detail is stunning, the solid glass bottle with rose gold cap, it all has a certain luxe feel to it. On the inside of the cap you will find a large doe-foot applicator much like that we see in a concealer. For hygiene reasons I apply it from the applicator to the back of my hand rather than directly to my face. I have tried this product alone, and both under and over my foundation, I can’t believe how multifunctional it is and how airbrushed my skin looks! It is like magic in a bottle and I often wonder how I ever managed before owning it!
Bigger Brighter Eyes – Exagger-Eyes
You know when you see a product, whether it be on a photo or in store and you know in that instant that you need it? This is what happened to me the second I laid eyes on the Exagger-Eyes palette. Already a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury’s eyeshadow quads I needed no excuse to get this. I soon found out that I wasn’t alone in falling in love with the palette as it was sold out online in all CT retailers! I rang my local store and rushed down to snap up one of the few remaining palettes! Honestly, I’d do it all again because it’s even more beautiful in the flesh!
Of the two Bigger Brighter Eyes palettes within the collection this one is more aimed towards lighter skin tones to help to define the eyes and give a natural yet filtered appearance while subtly enhancing your own eyes. Despite having four shades I’ve found so many ways to wear them to create multiple looks. It’s the perfect palette for any occasion and it’s so perfectly compact for on the go!
If like me you’re a real lover of the palettes and you love a neutral colour selection you probably won’t want to miss this beauty.
Bigger Brighter Eyes – Transform-Eyes
With the same principle as the Exagger-eyes palette the Transform-Eyes is more geared toward a deeper skintone and features soft champagne gold, copper-gold, dark chocolate-brown and deep brick-red shades. Equally as stunning at the Exagger-Eyes palette I couldn’t resist it! For me being more on the fairer side of the spectrum this makes the perfect warm toned colour palette that would lend itself well to any occasion or season. I have paired this with my other palette and between the eight shades across both palettes it makes a stunning neutral colour selection. They are the only two palettes I plan to pack for my upcoming holiday because there is just so much you can do with them.
Pretty Youth Glow Filter & Cheek Hugging Brush – Seduce Blush
Inspired by beauty boosting filters this duo is designed to instantly lift your complexion. The cream to powder blush and highlight formula give a smooth blurred finish to the skin while adding a fresh-faced radiance. There are two shades to choose from, one being a coral and peachy pink ‘Pretty Fresh’ and dusky powder pink and rose ‘Seduce Blush’. You also have the option of purchasing this alone, or paired with the cheek-hugging brush designed to pick up the ideal amount of product to place in just the right places on your cheek.
I find the cream to powder formula incredibly smoothing on the skin giving me a beautifully filtered wash of colour while blurring any imperfections. The highlight shade adds structure and definition to my face allowing the light to catch it in all of the right places.

Collagen Lip Bath – Refresh Rose
This product has been inspired by the lip-plumping filters we are oh so familiar with. Fuller lips are sought after by many in the beauty world, we see this all over the media. With a swipe of this over your lips they will instantly look fuller, wider and smoother. Enriched with firming marine collagen, this hybrid formulation acts as both a treatment and a lip gloss, locking in moisture while imparting a light-reflecting pink sheen. It also works to minimise the appearance of fine lines while maximise fullness all the while hydrating the lips.
I’m a fan of lip gloss and this is up there with my favourites. It is so incredibly flattering and it lives up to every promise that it makes. It’s a beautiful and easy way to achieve a none evasive fuller lip.
A lot of this collection is limited edition which is a shame because it’s absolutely stunning and I just hope that it will join the permanent line of products. I’m definitely a huge fan of everything I have tired from this collection and if like me you’re a Charlotte Tilbury fan, you’ll definitely want to add some of this range to your own collection.
