Latest In Beauty – Build Your Own Subscription Box

(Features press samples & affiliate links)

I’m definitely a fan of a beauty subscription box or five! They’re like monthly surprise gifts to ourselves and it’s always fun to get them and see what treats are tucked away inside.

There are so many to choose from, it can be a little overwhelming. Having tried more than my fair share I’ve come to learn that sometimes you can discover great products and brands. But inevitably you end up with a whole load of mini products that are much of a muchness, or that you won’t use, or at least I have.

I have more mini aerosols of dry shampoo than I can count. I do use them and I will get through them but for moment it feels a little like they’re taking over! This is the big disadvantage of the good old monthly subscription boxes for me.

Wouldn’t it be ideal if we had more control over what we received? Enter Latest In Beauty, build your own. They have created a monthly subscription box which you fill with products of your choice. They have a huge selection, you’ll struggle to decide which ones to add! I know I did! Products were in the cart, they were out of the cart, they were back in, this went on for some time.

They have three options within the build your own subscription available:

  • Beauty Novice – 3 Items per month – £9
  • Beauty Enthusiast – 6 Items per month – £15
  • Beauty Guru – 9 Items per month – £18 or a one of box for £25

All of the above options come with free postage too which is fab! No-one likes the dreaded postage charge!

Being a beauty junkie I went for the Beauty Guru* option to add the most products, mainly because I found narrowing it down so difficult! Now that it’s arrived I’m so happy with my selection! They arrived in a box packed with brightly pink protective packaging and tissue paper, all neatly tucked away inside!

After much deliberation my final 9 were:

  • Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet 10ml
  • Caudalie Vinosource Radiance Serum 10ml
  • The Body Shop Oils Of Life 7ml
  • ESPA Hydration Therapy 15ml
  • Rosalena Bio Active Skincare Rock & Rose Face Oil 10ml
  • Mini OPI Nail Polish – I Love Applause 3.75ml
  • Burts Bees Natural Lipstick – Blush Basin 3.4g
  • Tropic Skincare Super Greens Nutrient Boost Serum 5ml
  • Pretty Athletic Workout Glow – Hyaluronic Vitamin Tonic 30ml

Overall I’m really impressed with this box, I love that it gives you the freedom to choose your own products. They offer a great range of products, the only problem will be trying to narrow it down to your chosen 3, 6 or 9 product box!

  1. I agree with you on the fact that random beauty subscription boxes leave you with too many minis! This box sounds perfect, you can actually pick what you want to try and I feel like that would make your beauty collection less cluttered. I might have to try one of these! Xx

  2. This is a great idea as you’ll get to try products you actually want to and not end up with a random product or two!

  3. I’ve not tried this one. I used to subscribe to the Lookfantastic box but cancelled it because half the contents I wasn’t using so just seemed a waste of money. I was recently sent an organic beauty box to try which is actually really lovely. If I’m going to subscribe it would definitely be this one as can tailor it.
