Spring Beauty Edit

Spring has finally sprung, at long last! The winter seemed to drag on and on, what with all of the snow and how cold it’s constantly been. It’s fair to say I’m glad to see the back of it! Here’s hoping Spring marks the start of warmer and brighter weather. With the arrival of a new season I like to take the opportunity to switch up my beauty and skincare products. As the weather improves my skincare needs change, and my choice of beauty products with it.

When it comes to makeup I’m a berry and vampy gal at heart which is more commonly associated with Autumn and Winter. My Spring choices tend to be made up of neutral tones with the of pop of colour thrown in for good measure. There have been some stunning beauty launches of late which are perfect for the Spring. Not so perfect for my bank balance!

Two of my favourite products I have fallen in love with and I’m enjoying which really epitomise Spring makeup for me are both from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I’m sure it will come as no surprise to see the highly coveted Soft Glam Palette featured, it has the most beautiful, neutral shade arrangement concealed within the gorgeous packaging.

The second is of course the outrageously beautiful Amrezy Highlighter, which they have done an incredible job with! In true Amra style it is a blinding highlight, but when applied with a lighter hand it can definitely remain more on the subtle side. The packaging and the pattern of the product which is reminiscent of desert dunes, or waves has been executed beautifully. I can see this being my new BFF to see me right through Summer too. I just want to bathe in it! If I’m not brighter than the sun there’ll be the devil to pay!

For a more natural, glow from within look I turn to Glossier and there Cloud Paint which I love in the shade Dusk. It delivers such a beautiful neutral peach, brown colour to the skin which can be intensified by building it up. I love this paired with Haloscope in Quartz for a radiant yet natural glow.

To me Spring is clean, fresh and natural which is the way I tend to play it with my beauty products. I’m not one for particularly bright colours or even pinky corals which would be ideal for Spring. Instead I prefer something light and neutral with my current go to lip product to achieve this being my Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer. Staying with Fenty Beauty for my next product to perk up my cheeks, their Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick in the shade Yacht Life. It gives the most gorgeous warm glow to my cheeks, it is buildable too for days when I want more coverage. It applies so much lighter on the skin than it looks in the packaging. Perfect for a touch of coral pink shimmer this Spring.

I recently picked up the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in the shade Wanderlust. What a stunning shade it is, it’s a peachy rose gold shade with golden glitter throughout, its one of my favourite shades. I love the Glitter & Glow Liquid eyeshadows, they are such great quality, long-wearing and they take an eye look from a 4 to a 10 in one swipe!
