Ok, we’re officially entering the most wonderful time of the year and I CANNOT WAIT for it!! Oh my goodness do we need some cheer and festive spirit! I can hardly believe we are in the final two months of the year? How did that happen? Despite 2020 being the year it has been, it’s flown by.
Usually, I’d be counting down the days until all of the Christmas treats become available, Costa all butter mince pies, I’m looking at you! They’re my kryptonite at this time of year and one of my favourite things about the festive season. I’m so sad I won’t be able to enjoy them due to having my op scheduled in for the 10th of November. My modified diet is brutal, basically, I’ll be hungry from Monday the 2nd until January! That fills me with more fear than the surgery itself! What a time of year to be limiting my food, how very 2020!!
As one month ends and another begins it means it’s time to share my loves of the past month. This month is my usual mixed bag of goodies from lifestyle to skincare to luxury so let’s delve in.
Beauty Pie Triple Hyaluronic Acid Peptide Serum
This is an absolute dream for my dehydrated oily-combination skin. It leaves my skin glowy, hydrated, healthy and plumped, what more could I ask for? This is a triple threat with three weights of Hyaluronic Acid, plumping Polysaccharides, Pro-Ceramides and gravity-fighting Super Peptides. It’s like bottled magic, no joke! This is a permanent fixture in my daily routine and I never intend on being without it. If you have the Beauty Pie membership this little baby only costs £15.85 and it’s worth three times that. Anyone and everyone should have this, it’s that good, I promise!
Dermalogica Hydro Masque Exfoliant*
Here we have one of Dermalogica’s latest offerings and it packs a super hydrating punch! May I introduce the Hydro Masque Exfoliant that both hydrates and exfoliants in one fell 5-minute swoop? My skin looks luminous, healthy and hydrated after every use. Formulated with exfoliating Bamboo primes skin for optimal hydration. Snow Mushroom holds 450 x its weight in water – infusing skin with hydration, antioxidants and Vitamin D. Jojoba Ester and Amino Acids derived from Sugar Beets hydrate and help strengthen skin’s moisture barrier. Cucumber Extract provides a soothing, refreshing finish. On top of all of that good stuff, the product is filled with microspheres that burst as you massage into the skin to release all of the goodness I just mentioned. Another winner from Dermalogica.
Pixi Glow Tonic*
Oh my goodness. I can’t even tell you how excited I was to receive this! I utterly adore this iconic glow tonic and to have my very own personalised bottle is the best. I’ll forever keep this and top it up. I’ve watched a lot of people get this over the last couple of years and admired them from afar. Finally, now I have my own and honestly, I couldn’t be happier.
The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser
Face coverings, cold weather and central heating are not a match made in heaven for my skin, let me tell you. My skin has been really acting up of late but I finally feel like I can manage my breakouts and excess oil build-up with the help of this cleanser. I was a little worried as to whether this might leave my skin feeling dry or stripped with regular use but it’s been great. My skin feels and looks balanced which is a big thing for me. This has been my first dip into the Inkey List pond and ready to bathe in it now. I cannot wait to try out more skincare from the brand.
Molton Brown Juniper Jazz Bath & Shower Gel
Molton Brown are the ultimate in indulgent, luxury bathing and I look forward to their seasonal offerings. Muddled Plum is a firm favourite and not one I expected to gain much competition. Fast forward to the 2020 holiday season and Molton Brown give us Juniper Jazz. Oh my goodness it is divine, I adore it. This bottle of glittering goodness features notes of juniper berries, metallic and woody notes, and creamy sandalwood in the base. I think this could be my new favourite and I fully intend on stocking up on this so that I never run out.
Constellation Co Luna Moon & Stars Coin Necklace
The lovely Cally, a fellow blogger and now small business owner has recently created Constellation Co that currently specialises in hand-picked jewellery pieces. Oh my goodness let me tell you, the jewellery is gorgeous!! I managed to get my hands on the Luna Moon and Stars necklace before it quickly sold out. I’m such a sucker for all things Luna and stars so I couldn’t resist. The whole collection is stunning and Cally carefully selects only the best quality pieces to sell.
She is brining is exciting products and restocks and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Constellation Co. The pieces come so beautifully packaged too so they make the perfect gift to a loved one or maybe yourself, because why not?
Louis Vuitton Pochette Accessoires – Monogram
This is a really tricky piece to find as it is revered by Louis Vuitton fans globally. I can see what all the fuss is about too! This is such a beautifully simple piece in the LV classic Monogram canvas complete with a touch of their trademark vachetta leather trim. Despite its size, it fits in a deceptively generous amount and the detachable strap offers such versatility. Alongside using as a small handbag this also lends itself to being a clutch or a catch-all inside of larger bags. A different strap really changes the entire vibe of this bag and it can be dressed up or down to your heart’s content.
I’m so glad I managed to find this available to buy and place an order before it sold out again. I also cannot wait to be able to fully use her when life is ever able to return to some kind of normality. I think this would be an ideal travel companion too due to its versatility.
So that wraps up my October loves. I’m unsure whether I’ll be able to share my loves of November as I’ll be spending most of the month in major post-surgery recovery mode. It’s going to be a painful and difficult month so content pending how I go.
If you enjoyed this month’s favourites you will probably like my September favourites too, just saying.
What have you been loving in October?
