Look at me sharing a new blog post, who am I?

Welcome to my September Beauty & Lifestyle Favourites.

Oh my goodness, is September really over and October upon us? I can hardly believe there are only three months left of this year. In my personal opinion, these are the best three months. Firstly we welcome autumn and I celebrate by decorating the house with pumpkins galore, burning seasonal candles 24/7 and enjoying delicious hot drinks. Then there’s Halloween and lastly the most wonderful time of the year. What’s more, thereafter a new fresh year, which I’m sure we can all agree will be welcomed with open arms!

It’s been a couple of months since I sat down to write a favourites post, or any post come to mention it. I’ve become very inconsistent at best so here is to making a renewed effort on my slice of the internet.

As the title mentions, this month’s favourites are a mix of beauty and lifestyle with a pinch of luxury.

Beauty Pie Jeju Daily AM & PM Moisture Super Infusion

Can you believe I almost didn’t buy this for fear it wouldn’t work for my oily-combination skin? Shocking, I know. In actual fact, it works incredibly well for me and my skin type. I’d go as far as to say this is one of my favourite moisturisers I’ve found this year. It is uber hydrating which is probably why my parched skin gets on so well with it. Beauty Pie suggests that this might just be the most miraculous formula you ever try and you know, I think it might just be.

Jeju Volcanic Sand gently blots shine from your oily spots, while a multi-active hydrating complex – FicuCell Vita and Flower Stem Cell Extract – transforms dull, dry skin to be positively dewy. The texture is thick and I mean thick but not in the way you’d probably think. It’s sort of paste-like, but a smooth paste if that makes any sense at all. You get a plastic spatula to scoop it out which works best for this formula. As it warms into the hands it becomes this rich creamy moisturiser that applies like a dream. I love how my skin looks and feels with this product and I often pair it with the Jeju serum for even more hydration. This has to be one of Beauty Pie’s star products and I cannot recommend this enough.

Fenty Skin Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum

What a brilliantly unique product this is! A 2-in-1 hybrid toner serum that leaves my skin looking smooth, refined and brighter. I can barely see my pores with this in my routine and that’s a big thing for me to say. Sometimes my pores are so big that I can store my purse in them but with this, they are so minimised it’s crazy. The difference that this makes to my skin is unreal. On top of this, it is also formulated with niacinamide which is one of my favourite ingredients in skincare. It’s a real must-have product for me. I have a full review of Fenty Skin.

Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt

So, as we approach beauty advent calendar season I thought it best that I finally empty last years… Yes, I know, I know, shameful isn’t it. That’s when I found this and I decided it was high time that I gave this shampoo a try. I must confess that when I first glanced at it I presumed it was a body scrub and initially took it into the bathroom to use as such. It was only on closer inspection that I saw it was actually a shampoo. The formula looks every inch the body scrub with lumps of sea salt in a rough formula.

Despite finding the texture a little odd for a shampoo I decided to try it anyway. It definitely felt like I was rubbing a body scrub into my hair but the second I added some water to it, it emulsified into a glorious lather. Now, this definitely felt more like shampoo and despite feeling a little unusual, I liked it. It really felt that it was clarifying my scalp and oily roots which I won’t sniff at. It rinsed away to leave my hair and scalp feeling so soothed and fresh. Even more so once I dried it. If it weren’t for my calendar I’d probably never have tried this or know what I was missing. I’m definitely converted.

Louis Vuitton Nano Speedy

This teeny, tiny little bag has been on my wishlist for the longest time and believe me when I tell you I have stalked Louis Vuitton’s site hard to find it. One day my efforts paid off and to my surprise, the item unavailable box changed to add to shopping bag. Well, I added and checked out as quickly as my fingers could manage. I’m so excited and smitten with my elusive piece and she looks even tinier in person if that were possible. The Speedy is a long-standing classic with icons like Audrey Hepburn adoring her and rightly so. I feel like we’ve seen an increasing number of mini and nano bags over the last year or so and it’s only right that the classic Speedy should join the party.

Fortunately, when it comes to packing my bags I’m an essential only kinda gal. This fits everything I’d need to carry and then some. She may be small but she is mighty and her size is deceiving. I was amazed by how much I could stash inside. I’m just biding my time for an occasion and a dry day to take her out on the road as it were. I say dry because the leather is raw, untreated vachetta which is not friendly with water. All-in-all I’m thrilled to have this in my collection, finally.

Sabrina – Netflix

So, I realise I’m a little late to the party when you consider this came out in 2018. I’ve had it on my watch list since it came out but for reasons, I can’t figure out I’ve only just gotten round to watching it. When I was younger and Sabrina The Teenage Witch was out I couldn’t get enough. I think a part of me always fancied myself as being a bit of a witch at heart. Still to this day I adore fantasy genres most with some of my favourites being Harry Potter. I fully expected to enjoy Sabrina as I knew it was right up my street.

As it turns out, I love it! I love the dark, adult twist Netflix has given this reboot. Suddenly I find myself wanting to get a platinum blonde bob and wear red gothic dresses none stop! I couldn’t have picked a better time to indulge myself in all things witches, warlocks and black cats as we approach Halloween.

Pumpkin Homewear – Next & Yankee Candle

I’m a sucker when it comes to cute autumnal decor and I wish the UK would embrace it more. It’s probably because they don’t that I lose all self-control when I find pumpkin-related items in local UK stores. I can always count on Next to come up with goods and for the second year running, they have not failed me. They did have a gorgeous white oven dish in the shape of a pumpkin and two smaller orange accompanying dishes. However, I managed to resist both in favour of a white and orange pumpkin salt and pepper shaker set and a black pumpkin candle. As you can imagine all pumpkin-related goods sold out pretty quickly.

Another love of mine is a candle and Yankee have us covered. I managed to bag a large jar candle in the scent Pumpkin Patch. I’m not too sure how best to describe it but it smells exactly as I’d expect. If you love all things pumpkin spice and cosy, this is for you.

Primark Chunky Knit Cardi

I’d be on a mission to find the right chunky knit cardi for my frame. I’m happy to say that after a recent visit to Primark I can confirm that I was successful in my quest. I was so taken by this cardi I bought it in both colours available but the cream is my number one. Name an outfit that a beautiful cream chunky knit cardi doesn’t work with? See, there isn’t such a thing. I love everything about this cardigan, the colour, the chunky buttons, the shape, length and texture. Oh the texture, it’s the softest cosiest material ever. Wearing this is like being wrapped in a warm hug. If that doesn’t make you want it I don’t know what will.

So that pretty much wraps up my September favourites, what did you think? What have you been loving in September? I’d love to know so be sure to leave a note in my comment sections below.

  2. I have a sample of that Christophe Robin product that I need to try! I’m much more of a Spring person but can appreciate the beautiful colours that nature gives us in Autumn. I just am not a fan of anything pumpkin flavoured or smelling (am I even a real blogger), or Halloween! For me, this is the countdown to Christmas! x

  3. Oh my God that handbag is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I love their monogram print bags but I have not seen this one before.

  4. Oh my gosh I love all your little pumpkin home decor! I need to go and do a bit of homeware shopping myself. You can’t beat an autumnal Yankee candle either!

  5. I love Sabrina on Netflix too, I’m glad you said the LV holds more than you think because she looks tiny (although beautiful). I need to try the Fenty Fat Water x
