What I Got For Christmas 2016

I  absolutely love Christmas, its my favourite time of the year. This Christmas was extra special as it was our first in our own home. We had our families over to share it with us. We all had Christmas dinner and some good old over eating, drinking and generally being merry. After all, that is what Christmas is all about, isn’t it?!

Personally I love ‘what I got for Christmas’ posts to have a good old nosy at what the big guy leaves under the tree and how other people enjoy their Christmases. I must admit, I did wonder whether to make this post myself as I was unsure of the response it might get. I decided to run a Twitter poll which was met with 100% vote in favour of doing one, so here it is, my what I got for Christmas 2016 post. As always I feel I have been well and truly spoiled with all of the lovely gifts I received. I feel so lucky to have been gifted so many wonderful things.

One thing you should know about me is that I am OBSESSED with all things makeup! I had been rambling on and on about the Anastasia Beverly Hills Master by Mario palette from the second I set eyes on it!  I’m a big ABH fan so you can imagine my joy when opening this little beauty! It’s even more beautiful in person. I also received the stunning Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Kyshadow palette, again, another one I’d been raving on and on about. It’s no great secret between my boyfriend and I that I also love Makeup Geek, he also spoilt me to eight of their gorgeous highlighter compacts which recently launched! What is new makeup without shiny new tools! He totally came through when he chose the Spectrum Brushes Marbelous collection for me! It’s fair to say I was one happy little bunny with my beautiful new makeup pieces!

As soon as I saw the cute little Fujifilm Instax Mini Polaroid I was obsessed! I love capturing happy memories to keep forever. I had planned to get myself one sometime after Christmas but was over the moon to have been gifted it from my Mum. I haven’t actually used it yet but I can’t wait to get lots of snaps and stick them in my journal or make cute little bunting out of them and stick them on our fridge.

No surprises looking at this I love me a YSL fragrance or two. The second I smelt their newest edition earlier this year I was in love, Mon Paris is amazing, I don’t think I’ve reached for anything else since I opened this. As luck would have it My current bottle of Manifesto was running out, making it the perfect time to get a new one.

Jack had been working away in America so was able to get Bath and Body Works products easily. Knowing my love of their products he treated me to some goodies from their festive range. They are some of the best body lotions I’ve ever smelled. Soooo good!! As a bit of a skincare junkie I was excited to be gifted some detox acai berry sheet masks! I’m all set for a good little pamper night now!

My Dad got my FitBit for me, and I am 100% obsessed with it, it has barely been off my wrist since I opened it! I can’t wait to keep track my fitness with it. After a longer period of usage I plan to do a post just on this as I love it so much already and make it a review sort of post. Stay tuned.

My wardrobe was in a need of a little rejuvenation and it certainly got that! Jack got me the Nike trainers I mentioned I liked a while ago, they will be ideal for the gym! He also treated me to the black denim jacket from Topshop after mentioning I liked it when we were shopping. He’s certainly a keeper. I also got some black Jamie jeans and some blue MOM jeans from Topshop off my Dad, along with the lilac Mint Velvet jumper, faux leather biker jacket from Warehouse and cosy gold knitted River Island scarf and hat. What is Christmas without some cosy nightwear. I love my new pyjamas, dressing gown and snuggly booty slippers. Ideal for the winter!
