Don’t Skip Your Greens: Tropic Skincare Super Greens Nutrient Boost Serum

Being a self-confessed skincare junkie I feel that I am on a never-ending quest for the best products on the market. Being a beauty blogger I see so many recommendations, combined with many new products being released it can often be hard to know what to choose! I use quite a few products in both my morning and evening skincare routines, and one step I never skip is to finish off both routines with a face oil.

My skin type is combination, I have the classic oily t-zone, but can suffer dryness on my cheeks and forehead. Contrary to popular belief oiler skin types can actually benefit greatly from introducing an oil into their regimen. By using a face oil you are helping to bring balance to your skin and offer a deeper hydration which in turn reduces the natural oil build up. An oilier complexion tends to be more on the dehydrated side so any added hydration you can give will naturally have a balancing effect.

For the past few weeks I’ve been using the multi award winning Tropic Skincare Super Greens Nutrient Boost Serum* and I’ve really been enjoying it. I’d heard such a lot of great things about this product and Tropic Skincare as a brand so I was keen to try their products. I was very kindly sent this to try, I’m absolutely over the moon with it, especially as it was something I’d have gotten around to buying myself.

So here’s what Tropic say about this product:

A shot of healthy greens that help to boost your skins natural defences and nutrient levels.

  • Chlorophyll, kale and maca root extracts deliver essential vitamins to the deeper layers of your skin
  • Lightweight, fast absorbing marula and kendi oils calm skin irritation and redness
  • Green coffee and tamanu oils help accelerate skin repair

Tropic recommend using this by massaging a few drops into your face in upward, circular motions for at least 1 minute to allow the vitamins and nutrients to soak into the deeper layers of your skin.

My very first impressions of this was that it had a bit of a weird smell, but I put that down to it being full of natural super green, herbal ingredients. For all it doesn’t smell the best it definitely smells healthy and good for you if that makes sense? I found shaking it best before opening to allow the product to properly mix together before application. It didn’t take long to notice a more luminous appearance, my complexion looked considerably more radiant and plumped too, overall it appeared more youthful and glowy than it had before I started to use this oil.

The consistency is very much what you would expect from an oil, I found it to absorb quickly without leaving my skin feeling particularly greasy. Overall I really have loved using this and seeing the change in my complexion, I’ll continue to use this bottle up and I fully intend on repurchasing a new bottle after this one. I really can’t stress how important it is to use an oil in our skincare routines and I’d 100% recommend this one as a great all-rounder.
