Cult Beauty Haul

Cult Beauty Haul

This impulse splurge came about for no other reason than payday had just arrived, and I had some discount codes that I couldn’t bear to see go to waste. That and the fact I clearly have no self-control at times, this being one of them. As a beauty blogger, I feel it is my free pass to such splurges, at least that’s what I tell myself. So armed with all of the justification I needed I logged onto Cult Beauty intent on being as frivolous as possible. All self-control was lost. It’s been a while since I did a Cult Beauty Haul like this.

I had a wishlist the length of my arm I began working my way through, when that was all checked off, I trawled for well-reviewed products to then add. I’m going through a real skincare junkie phase and this haul really shows that. This wasn’t a one bulk purchase haul, it has come together over the course of a couple of months when a discount code slid into my inbox. I think if I were to drop that money in the one go, I might actually give myself a heart attack!

As I had a 20% off coupon at my disposal I did go for some items I’d previously put off buying due to the cost. The Alpha Beta Peel wipes being one of them.

Without further ado, let’s jump right in and see what I got.

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel

For years every man and his dog has raved about these and I’d often toyed with buying them. The price had always made me shy away from actually buying despite adding to the cart more times than I can recall. At £87 for 30 treatments it definitely isn’t cheap, but you can’t put a price on good skin. With that thought in mind and my planning to use them once or twice a week, I rationalized my need to buy them.

I am a firm believer in investing in a good skincare regime and sometimes a higher price tag is associated with this. With that said I really think about a luxury purchase and I am never frivolous with money when it comes to skincare products.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturiser

Already a lover of the hugely popular watermelon glow sleeping mask, I had to try this. The title alone sells itself for me purely by including the word glow. As I said, I love the original sleeping mask as it leaves my skin brighter come morning. Now I can keep up the glow all day with my new moisturiser. Plus, it smells heavenly! Good enough to eat!

Sunday Riley C.E.O Glow Oil

Given my love for both Sunday Riley and face oils, this was an absolute no brainer for me. I already have three other Sunday Riley oils in my growing collection and I adore them. The words glow emblazoned on the front practically sold it to me immediately. Packed full of the best ingredients to promote a healthy glowing complexion only furthered my need to buy this. I am of the belief that you can never have too many glow getters in your stash, therefore, this was justified.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels

The under eyes give away so much, if I’ve had a poor night sleep, you can bet your ass they’ll make it damn obvious. I only noticed the Skyn Iceland eye gels while browsing some of CB best-sellers, being a sucker for a good description I added them to my cart. I’ve been meaning to invest in some good under-eye patches for a while so it made sense to finally make good on my promise to myself.

REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic

This has been on my wishlist for what feels like forever! I adore a good AHA toner and as I was running low on my current one, now was the type to make the purchase. This has been raved about by skincare junkies around the globe. Promising to rid the skin of dead skin cells while caring for your skin, to reveal a brightened appearance, what’s not to love?! One of the things that appealed to me about this was the packaging. The hygienic pump dispenser to apply directly to a cotton pad is so quick and hassle-free, no spilling it when you accidentally drop it.

Pai Skincare Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil

I’ve been meaning to try Rosehip in my skincare for such a while since I was getting a bit carried away adding to cart, why not this too? So into the cart, it went. I had also seen the brand Pai doing the rounds on social media and being met with good reviews. I’m excited to see what all the fuss is about with both the brand and trying a rosehip oil.

Caudalie Vinopure Pore Perfecting Infusion Serum

Sometimes my pores get so big I could ditch the handbag and carry my stuff in them. Slight exaggeration but you get the picture. Being an oily skinned gal my pores are often bigger than I’d like. This serum promises to minimise pesky oversized craters, I mean pores while helping to combat breakouts. What more do you want?

Coco & Eve Hair Mask

I’d seen this a lot around social media and I was intrigued to see how good it really is. Not only that but I’m trying to up haircare are game, so if you think about it, I really needed to get it. Justified, I think so. I really love the packaging and that it also comes with a little brush to comb the mask through your hair. I’m here for the little extras! It smells so yummy too so I can only imagine how good my hair will smell.

Lano Everywhere Multi Cream

I hadn’t even heard of this until Lydia Elise Millen’s Cult beauty box launched. In her reveal video, she mentioned how this had transformed her eczema-prone skin and that was enough for me. My eczema drives me crazy at times, I will try anything to bring it under control. I’m hoping I find this as helpful on mine as Lydia did hers.

Drunk Elephant Cleansing balm

The Ordinary AHA Peeling Solution

Already a big fan of AHA’s in skincare I had my sights firmly on this peeling solution. It promises to deeply exfoliate my skins top layer to reveal a brighter, more even appearance and to decongest and minimise pores. The Ordinary is such a well-reviewed brand and for good reason. I have every faith that I will love this. I can’t wait to see how this works out for me.

Sarah Chapman The Facialift

I came across this while browsing the face tools section and I was intrigued, to say the least. Already a fan of facial rollers and cleansing brushes, I do enjoy a good skincare tool. Once I was satisfied I’d read enough good reviews and the product description my spendy ass added it to the cart.

Disciple Skincare Balancing Mist

Since being released this brand has been on my radar. It is reasonably priced I feel and coupled with a whole host of rave reviews. The balancing mist stood out to me because my skin is oily AF since stopping the pill, I need all of the balance I can get. Here’s hoping this comes through for me. I’m so over looking like I have an oil slick on my face.

The second but kind of second and third item(s) I went for is the Disciple Skincare The Discovery KitUnsure of what else to pick this set made perfect sense as it has a couple of the more popular products to try without committing to full size. In this kit, you get Good Skin day oil and Dreamy Skin night oil. Packed with essential fatty acids, hormone-balancing essential oils and bad bacteria-fighting prebiotics to leave your skin clearer, nourished and more radiant. YES YES YES! I need this in my life!

Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser

Cleansing balms have become a real vice of mine and I can’t get enough. Already a lover of Drunk Elephant I knew I’d have to buy this the second the email slid into my inbox. It comes with a handy spatula which I love cause chunks of cleanser under my nails is not the one. The lid and the spatula have magnets in them to allow them to stick together which I think is so well thought out. I definitely appreciate this detail. I can’t wait to give its trial run and see how it compares with my other cleansing balms and Drunk Elephant products.

Milk Makeup

I feel a bit late to the party with this one, especially now as it’s here in the UK. As I was getting super spendy I didn’t see the harm in stopping myself and I added a few Milk Makeup pieces to my basket. If you’re a regular reader around here than you might know my love of a good lip product or ten! Two of my three purchases from the brand are lip products.

I went for the Lip Balm and the Kush Lip Glaze. Both had great reviews and when it comes to lip balms I really can’t control myself. The Glaze is my favourite of the two. Despite the name giving the impression it would leave your lips looking like a Krispy Kreme doughnut and being tackier than Bet Lynch, it really didn’t. I was pleasantly surprised by how unsticky they felt, and I actually found it incredibly comfortable.

The third item I went for was one I’d heard a lot about and needed to try for myself. The Matte Bronzer. I do love a cream bronzer and this looked so easy to swipe on for those super lazy days I couldn’t resist the temptation.

Phew! That was quite a haul! No spending for a while now. I am absolutely on a spending ban!

Have you tried any of the products I’ve mentioned?

Is there anything I don’t already have that you think I should have bought?
