When Glow Recipe came to the beauty world they immediately proved they were a brand to the reckoned with. Their first product we all know and love sent the beauty world into watermelon obsession.

Fast forward to 2019 and they have a whole array of fruity themed products in the cutest packaging. They’re definitely bringing something unique to the beauty world and well, quite frankly we all seem to love it. I absolutely do.

Glow Recipe is a Korean beauty brand and their speciality is clean, fruit-powered skincare designed to bring out our inner glow! Could we love this brand anymore? That is music to my ears. Their products are innovative and their packaging is fun and quirky. They’re definitely coming with something new for us.

Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

The first product and introduction to the brand for most of us. It was met with huge success and cult status. Talk about starting as you mean to go on! They’re pulling big punches with this mask. It was sold out for so long which only furthered the need to buy it for those who didn’t already have it. Those who did were desperate to restock. Beauty lovers around the world were thrown into a watermelon frenzy! Not only is it a fab product, but it’s also in the most Instagramable packaging! I’ve seen many a photo featuring this just sitting there looking pretty.

Watermelon extract floods the complexion with restoring vitamins, antioxidants and amino acids. Alongside hero ingredient hydrating hyaluronic acid and pore-refining alpha-hydroxy acids. This pillow-proof, gel-textured formula gets to work while you sleep, exfoliating and moisturising so you can wake up to baby-soft, gorgeously glowing skin every morning. It almost sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? They’re some bold claims. Bold but accurate. This mask delivers on its promises and then some. My skin has never looked better after using this.

Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturiser

Glow recipe returned to the beauty scene with a second watermelon instalment. Here to prove that they’re no one-hit-wonder. Once again this product was met with a great reception. This lighter than air oil-free moisturiser gives all the glow of the sleeping mask. Rich in antioxidants, restoring vitamins and amino acids this soothes while hyaluronic acid hydrates and nourishes this skin. Throughout the warmer months, I would put this in the fridge for an added cooling effect. A real treat for the skin.

Just like the sleeping mask this also leaves the skin glowing with a glass-like appearance. I feel that this particular moisturiser would be best for oily-combination skin types. I am oily combo so I know this to be true. It smells amazing, I can’t get enough of the watermelon range, to be honest.

Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist

I’ve never been a real lover of a mist, mostly because I don’t like the way they apply. When I read that this was an ultra-fine mist I thought I’d give the mist thing another try. This is the perfect application for me. I prefer a light coating rather than a heavier more localised layer I have to spray a lot to get my face covered.

Made with 84% watermelon, hydrating hyaluronic acid and hibiscus flower AHAs, this ultra-hydrating and gently soothing super-fine mist is my new BFF. This is the mist I have been waiting for. It is the perfect pick me up for a quick hit of hydration and glow throughout the day. It is perfectly-sized for on the go so you need never be without.

Pineapple-C Bright Serum

One of the newest additions to the Glow Recipe family. I’m loving the fun packaging which is very fitting with the name. My first thought on using this was that it had the weirdest smell. I still find it odd even after having used it for a little while. It’s a little bit like sour pineapple and cat pee? So strange. But don’t let that put you off! I saw a noticeable difference after just one. Yes, that’s right, one use. My skin looks healthier, brighter and fresher.

I do adore a good brightening serum and this is a real winner for me. It’s an instant pick me up and with prolonged use, my complexion is glowing. So much so I’ve had people ask me if I’ve done anything differently. The proof is in the pudding so they say. One of the best products from Glow Recipe. I don’t even care about the smell when it makes my skin so luminous.

Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser

Described as a bouncy gel cleanser this appealed to me immediately. As I’m more on the oily spectrum I do love a good gel cleanser. I’d never heard of a bouncy gel cleanser and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued. By this point I’d loved everything else I Glow Recipe had put out there, why not this.

Turns out I did love this just as much. No surprises there. Hard to imagine a cleanser being bouncy but somehow this is? The name makes for a fitting description. It is indeed a springy gel consistency that lathers up so well. I love the way it cleans my oily skin leaving it feeling thoroughly cleanser without stripping it. It leaves the perfect clean canvas to continue with my skincare routine. The formulation contains blueberry extract and a gentle AHA to give the skin a mild exfoliation to strengthen skin cells leaving it baby soft.

The scent is a delicate blueberry smell and I really enjoy it. It’s too light I think to have anyone dislike it. All in all, this is a really great cleanser for all skin types.

Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask

This is the newest addition to my expanding Glow Recipe family. I do enjoy an avocado from time to time so I was keen to see how my eye area would take to it. This green jar of goodness promises to brighten, moisturise, smooth fine lines and de-puff the eye area without causing harsh side effects often associated with retinol. Sounds good right. As Glow Recipe always make good on their promise I had every faith that this would be no different.

Packed full of anti-ageing and brightening ingredients this deeply moisturising jar of green goodness will leave you bright-eyed and bushy-tailed by morning. Isn’t that everything we want our eye area to look like? I know I do.

I’m not going to lie, I was a little apprehensive about applying a retinol product on the delicate eye area. Putting all of my faith in the Glow Recipe team I put my reservations aside and tried it. I was not disappointed. My eye area looked nourished, hydrated, plumped and brightened, any fine lines were reduced. I love the thick consistency of this and it’s buildable if you need an extra pick me up.

So there we have it, almost the entire Glow Recipe range thus far. I am so impressed by this brand. Their quirky and unique look, their products. They’ve definitely found their place in a marketplace saturated with so many products it can be overwhelming. I really can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us. I can safely say I’ll be buying whatever it is based on my thoughts about the products I own.
