Autumn & Winter Favourites

Oh wow, it feels like it has been the longest time since I sat down to type up a favourites post. I have been trying a lot of new products lately so I have plenty of material for this post. As a blogger of all things beauty I feel it is only fair that I share my current beauty loves, after all, sharing is caring right? So here I am sharing my autumn and winter favourites.

I’ve found myself trying out a lot of skincare products more so than anything else. It will come as no surprise that this favourites post is largely skincare goodness. I’ve found some great brands and products I can’t wait to share with you.

So let’s just delve right in.

Gucci Soho Disco Bag

I may have only just received this for Christmas, but how could I not include it in my favourites post. I still squeal every time I look at this bag. I had been lusting so hard after it for what felt like the longest time. I cannot believe I finally have one to call my own. Honestly, it is the perfect bag for me and I know I will get so much use from it. We all have our little vices and handbags are mine. Luxury handbags to be specific. They give me so much joy and I never get over how incredibly fortunate I am to be able to have them in my collection.

Foreo Luna

Using a facial cleansing brush is one sure-fire way to elevate your cleansing routine. My skin always looked and felt well cleansed prior to using this, and it was. However, using a facial cleansing brush does something our hands simply cannot so you never get the deeper cleanse without one. My skin looks and feels brighter, my pores always look minimised and I find that my products are better absorbed into my skin.

The Foreo Luna is the perfect handy size to use and to travel with. It is rechargeable and waterproof also speeds up my morning routine by cleaning in the shower. They have a range of devices to suit everyone and every skin type. I opted for the normal skin and that works for me. You can also get a Luna Mini which is less money and a little smaller but does a lot of the same for your skin. I’d never go back to cleansing without a facial brush now. The silicone brushes are my preferred device as they’re far more hygienic. I cannot recommend this enough.

Glow Recipe Pineapple C Bright Serum

First up is by a brand I’m becoming a huge fan of, Glow Recipe. I couldn’t wait to get this when I first learned it was being released. Anything with a promise of glowing, glass-like skin is a must-try. Especially at this time of year when fighting off lacklustre skin is an uphill struggle. The first time I tried this I was surprised by the weird smell. It makes me think of off rancid pineapple mixed with a little bit of cat wee. It’s not ideal really but stay with me. The following morning I noticed how my skin was notably brighter, with a dewy, radiant glaze appearance. If this was from one use I couldn’t wait to see the results from prolonged usage. It was enough to make peace with the smell even.

My skin has never looked so good. It makes the good fight for the glow that much easier with this in my routine. A real winner for me and I will absolutely repurchase this.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask

This beauty had been on my radar for some time before I caved and bought it. I love hydration masks and I felt that this would be perfect to carry on my flight with me in September. I double this up and use it as an under-eye treatment too. It works a treat and leaves my delicate under-eye area beautifully hydrated.

Thanks to a nourishing combination of vitamins, ceramides, antioxidants and gently exfoliating extracts, this soothing formula leaves my complexion dewy and radiant.

Farsali Unicorn Essence

I spotted this on the shelves of Sephora while in Florida recently and I was keen to try it. I have known about this product for a while now but I’d never gotten around to buying it. I think it was the whole being in Sephora and wanting to a little crazy buying all of their incredible products. I didn’t however as I knew when I arrived home I could source it from a UK stockist. The reviews I read were all singing its praises and it looks oh so pretty. I mean Unicorn Essence, who doesn’t want to smother their face in that?!

Naturally, when I first tried it I did so by placing the dropper under each eye to look like unicorn tears. We’ve all seen the photos on the ‘Gram so I know that you know exactly what I mean. When in Rome and all.

In one application this serum smooths my skin leaving it looking even in tone, pores barely visible with a brightened complexion. I’ve yet to use it as a primer which it also doubles up as, but I can see how it would work as the perfect base to apply makeup. I only wish I bought a bigger bottle.

Pixi Beauty Detoxifeye Depuffing Hydrogel Under Eye Patches

The first thing I loved about this before trying was the price. £22 for 30 pairs of patches is incredible value for money. It works out a little over 70p peruse. These patches instantly depuff and revive tired eyes for a refreshed appearance. They work wonders and I could never be without them in my routine. I use them a couple of times a week, more if necessary. The difference they make with every use is unbelievable.

Formulated with hyaluronic acid to give an instant surge of moisture that in turn plumps and smooths skin and fine lines, caffeine helps to depuff and diminish the appearance of dark circles while a host of hard-working plant extracts help to energise and refresh skin. One of the best skincare products I’ve ever used for instant results.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra Fine Mist

Made with 84% watermelon, hydrating hyaluronic acid and hibiscus flower AHAs to create this ultra-hydrating and gentle soothing super-fine mist. This is small enough to carry with me to use on the go. It came with me on my flight to Florida recently to keep my skin hydrated during the flight. I love the smell and it gives my skin the perfect fix of hydration with every spray.

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish

I must confess to being quite lazy when it comes to painting my nails. I find that most polish chips in no time at all. For me it feels like a lot of effort to paint and redo my nails every few days and truth be told, it’s more effort than I care to make. I wish I were one of the girls that have neatly painted nails all of the time but I am not.

I’ve tried so many polishes claiming to last a week or more without chipping with little success. That was until I tried Essie Gel Couture. This nail polish has been game-changing for me. I can paint my nails with this and well over a week later it is still intact, chip-free! Hurrah!! Well, naturally I then went out to buy multiple shades. I don’t have a problem in redoing my nails at one to two weekly intervals which the Gel Couture allows me to do. They have a good shade range to choose from.

Valentino Born In Roma

The original version of this is a firm favourite of mine and as soon as I tried Born In Roma I was smitten. Slight tweaks to the beautiful packaging I know and love it comes to us in a studded glass bottle, this time with a black atomiser. Born in Roma Donna infuses jasmine flowers and vanilla bourbon with the cool kick of pink pepper. It is a heavenly scent and I honestly cannot get enough of it.

The Body Shop Banana Shampoo & Conditioner

This shit is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Typically I’m not usually a fan of banana scented products but these I love. The smell divine truth be told and they work wonders on my hair. They leave it silky smooth with a healthy shine and well-nourished, not to mention it smells good enough to eat!

Enriched with Community Trade organic banana puree from Ecuador and formulated without silicones it is gentle on the hair and scalp. It isn’t hard to see why this range is one of The Body Shop’s best sellers.

I hope you enjoyed my favourites post as much as I love everything included. I also have a spring and summer favourites post you can read here.
