The business of Christmas advent calendars has long passed us deliberating between a Malteasers or Thorntons chocolate one in Tesco. The ante has well and truly been upped in the advent calendar stakes and the choices are 10 times harder than ever before when deciding which one to spend your hard-earned moolah on.

If you’re a fellow beauty junkie we have some incredible to choose from. I don’t know about you, but they seem to improve year on year. Just when you think they can’t be topped, next year they do just that. Not only that but the product sizes are often so generous with some even being full size! Gone are the days of them being full with miniature products you’re lucky to get two uses from. Granted you do get a lot of smaller sizes, but now known as deluxe and big enough to get an idea if its for you or not. Alongside getting a beauty treat each morning, it makes for a great way to try out new brands.

I already knew for sure that I would be purchasing a beauty advent calendar for myself, but it wasn’t until recently I decided which. With so many incredible ones on the market the choice was a little overwhelming. I wanted to try a different one that I had last year too. I read a lot of reviews, and watched plenty of videos on them to help make my decision. It wasn’t too long before there was a clear winner for me.

It was of course the Look Fantastic advent, and oh what a beauty she is! I think we all just need to take a second to admit and swoon over the truly stunning design! Boasting bright berry red with gold foil accents, what says Christmas more than both traditional, festive colours. You really can’t beat a stunning marriage of festive red and gold together. The structure itself is very strong and sturdy, so much so I intend to keep mine to store products inside after December!

One touch that separate this from a lot of calendars is that this contains 25 boxes, meaning we get an extra treat on Christmas Day! Another big plus for me when considering which one I would buy. You receive 8 full sized products, and 17 deluxe sized across a range of fabulous brands. There is an even mix of beauty, skincare and haircare included from well know brands like Molton Brown, Glamglow, Omorovizca, and Illamasqua to name but a few!

Impressive huh?!

I’m so excited for each morning to wake up to a new product to try. A few of the brands I’m personally most excited about have to be Omorovizca, Emma Hardie, Caudalie and Mane and Tail! I’ve heard only good things about them and I’ve been wanting to try them for so long!

This calendar has a combined value placed at over £300, and you can buy it for £79. I personally think that is good value for money when you consider the products included and their sizes. I was more than happy to spend my money on this and I think that it is 100% worth it.
