So, I’d noticed Beauty Pie along with their products popping up on social media quite a lot. So much so that it made my ears prick up and take notice. What is Beauty Pie? Why is everyone talking about it? Do I need a piece of that pie? It definitely got me to wondering. I visited the site a few times before deciding to sign up. It was different to just ordering products and I wanted to fully understand the new set up. I also read review after review and asked for feedback on social media. All of which told me yes, I did need a piece of that pie. If I’m honest, Beauty Pie sounded too good to be true. I wondered where the catch was. As it happens, there isn’t one.
So What Exactly Is Beauty Pie?
Beauty Pie is the brainchild of Marcia Kilgore, sound familiar? No? What about the brand’s Bliss®, Remède®, Soap & Glory® and Soaper Duper®? I’d bet good money on it we’ve all heard of at least one. Well, they’re also companies founded by Marcia Kilgore. So when it comes to beauty and skincare it’s safe to say she knows a thing or two. Kilgore describes Beauty Pie as her best idea yet.
The idea behind Beauty Pie was to bring the highest quality of skincare directly to customers at a reasonable price. They offer a wide range of skincare, makeup, body and hair care products with a continuous stream of new arrivals. You can shop for products from the world’s best beauty suppliers, from Switzerland, France, Korea, Italy, Japan, without paying for middlemen, the celeb marketing or the retailer markups. There are even yummy candles to choose from too!
Let us take a look at Beauty Pie’s mission statement.
“At Beauty Pie, our mission is to make you feel like a kid in a cosmetics candy store.
To bring you the fairy tale. To deliver the absolute best in beauty nonstop, at prices so amazing, even a splurge is a steal.
Because there should be no guilt in getting gorgeous.”
I can confirm that when I shop with Beauty Pie I definitely feel like a kid in a candy store. I didn’t know where to look first or what to add to cart. I’m forever grappling with wanting to increase my membership so that I can have a higher spending limit!
What’s more, all of their products are cruelty-free and many vegan also.
How Does Beauty Pie Work?
Ok, so you can purchase their products in one of two ways. With a membership or without a membership.
Let me talk you through the memberships first.
When you first sign up there are four memberships on offer. £5 per month will give you a spending allowance of £50 per month. £10 will give you a spending allowance of £100 per month. £20 per month will give you a spending allowance of £200 per month. Alternatively, you can choose to purchase a 12-month membership upfront for £99 which gives you a £100 spending allowance. All of the spending allowances roll over into the next month if they’re not used up. Every membership qualifies for members prices on all products and exclusive “Pie Days”. On selected Pie Days members may shop a selected product without using any of their allowance. All memberships are a minimum of 3 months initially.
Once you join you’re able to upgrade your membership and there are different options available at this point. In addition to the ones mentioned above they offer £30 = £300 spending limit, £40 = £400 spending limit and £50 = £500 spending limited each month. You’re able to upgrade or reduce your membership at any time.
When you shop as a member you will see two prices per product, a typical price and a members price. You will pay the members price but your allowance is reduced by the typical price. For example, my limit is £100 per month, I buy a Hyaluronic acid serum with a typical price of £60 which comes off my balance of £100, but I only pay the members price of £17.15. You also pay your membership price each month too.
Alternatively, you may shop without a membership and pay the typical prices for each product.
Beauty Pie memberships allow us to pay factory prices for luxury high-quality products. Because they don’t use celebrity advertisement or follow retailer markets it allows them to bring us the base cost of the products. The only money Beauty Pie makes is from the membership fees.
Would I Recommend Beauty Pie?
If you have a love of beauty, skincare, hair and body products I would absolutely recommend Beauty Pie. I personally love the concept and the range of products on offer. There is such a vast range my only problem is settling on what to buy each month. As I mentioned earlier I am forever tempted to increase my membership to let me purchase more. They often run offers when you first sign up. When I first joined my allowance was increased as a welcome gift which allowed me to order more to try first time round.
The day my spending limit is replenished cannot come quick enough, nor can the package once ordered that said. I always look forward to unboxing my order and putting their products to the test. Thus far I’ve stuck to skincare products as that is where I gravitate to most.
The Products I’ve Tried
Superactive Capsules Pure Double Vitamin C & Vitamin E Serum
We all know how tricky it can be to find a good stable vitamin c product. This one is just that and what’s more, the way it has been packaged allows for a potent delivery of vitamin c and e with each use. Beauty Pie has opted to safely store the serum within single-use capsules of which you get 60 per jar. You can use this morning and night however I opt for the morning only. You get a generous amount of serum per capsule, so much so that I actually only use half per skincare routine. The texture has a silk-like quality and it glides effortlessly over the skin without pulling or dragging while offering an even layer. It absorbs beautifully leaving my skin ready for my moisturiser.
This serum ticks all the boxes for me. It brightens my skin leaving me with an even and smooth appearance. It also works in the battle against anti-ageing whilst reducing any already visible signs of fine lines or wrinkles. Every day feels like a good skin day when I’ve used this serum.
I would 100% recommend this product to anyone and I will most definitely repurchase.
Japanfusion Pure Transforming Cleanser
This hybrid gel to oil to milk cleanser is a real treat for the skin. I begin by massaging it into my skin to remove makeup, dirt and oils before wetting it which causes it to emulsify and become milky as I rinse it off. It leaves my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed without feeling stripped or dry. The gel/oil formulation means that it leaves my skin soft and nourished too. I never quite expected to love this quite as much as I do. It has an abundance of rave reviews and after trying it for myself it is easy to see why.
Another product I would 100% recommend to anyone with any skin type. I will also be repurchasing.
Japanfusion Hydra Prep Lotion
I picked this out to use alongside my Japanfusion cleanser. This Hydra-Prep Lotion is infused with antioxidant Jabara citrus and grape extracts, and an innovative complexion de-stressing Pombo Yeast moisture fusion. It works to both moisturise and balance the skin to prepare it for maximum benefit and absorption of the following products in my skincare routine. It definitely leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished. I do find that the products I follow on with are absorbed well into the skin having used this.
That said I don’t have any problems with it and it is definitely a nice addition to my routine but I do love an acid toner. It is only for that reason I might not be inclined to rush into repurchasing as I don’t find myself using this daily.
Super Retinol Vitamin C Night Renewal Moisturiser
When it comes to anti-ageing skincare retinol is a real hero ingredient. Retinol can be a little intimidating and leave you wondering where to start introducing it into your skincare as it can be a harsh ingredient. I feel that this moisturiser is perfectly created for all skin types and both retinol novices and advanced users alike. I have used it every night since I got it and I’ve not had any issues. It is a gentle formula to be used daily without any irritation.
I’ve noticed a real change in the appearance of my skin since using this. My fine lines are visibly reduced and my skin appears more youthful and plumped with an overall brightened complexion. This has been a real stand out product for me and I would definitely repurchase and recommend this to others.
Plantastic Micropeeling Super Drops
This is my go-to for the day where my skin doesn’t play ball. I usually have odd days here and there where my skin just doesn’t behave but lately, they’re far more frequently, more so than I care to admit in truth. I really don’t know what it is, my skincare routine is the same as always yet my skin is going haywire. From what I have read on Twitter I definitely don’t feel like I am alone in this.
I apply the drops to my skin after cleansing and toning. They absorb into the skin really well and it almost feels barely there. The results I get with these are incredible, my skin breakouts reduce dramatically and any redness and inflammation are calmed.
I can honestly say that I’d not be without these as part of my skincare routine as and when needed. I will without doubt repurchase and recommend them.
Dr Glycolic Multi Acid Micro Peeling Pads
I have used similar pads to these in the past and enjoyed them. I typically prefer a liquid acid toner on a cotton pad but for travel and convenience, I do like the presoaked pads. I’m not sure what it is about these specific pads but I just didn’t get along with them from day one. I found when I swept the pad over my face is left a tacky residue on my skin. It almost felt oily and being oily combination this is not what I want immediately after washing. I went back and tried and tried with them but I just don’t feel like they’re for me. It could be a personal preference but I wouldn’t buy them again, I doubt I’ll use up the ones I have, to be honest.

I swear by using Vitamin C! They have really improved how my skin looks. Currently I am using the Vit C Capsules from Elizabeth Arden. They are really good.
There’s no doubt that there are some products that I would like to try from them but because I have a huge beauty stash, I can’t warrant a subscription yet but I will at some point, to try the products I have my eye on x

Absolutely love the Japanfusion cleanser! The subscription format won’t be for everyone but I personally love the products I’ve tried from them so even if I take a bit of a break from the subscription, I do always tend to go back!

I have been wondering how the membership works so this is really interesting! Would love to try it out once I have used up a lot of the products I am using currently! I would be worried I would be purchasing too many products each month if its this easy to do haha!
I love Beauty Pie, I just restarted my subscription and have fallen in love with it all over again. I recently tried their detox shampoo and loved how clean it makes my hair. They have so many great products at an amazing price x
